The Buccaneers announced Jackson was a limited participant in Friday's session after also being limited Thursday.
How Jackson's Injury Affected Buccaneers Offense
At 32 years old, Jackson's experience is much needed in the Buccaneers' offensive huddle in 2015, as he has already proved he can work with young players. In 2014, he created a dangerous partnership with Mike Evans, who recorded 1,051 yards as a rookie.
Jackson's big body creates a safe target for rookie quarterback Jameis Winston while also setting a great example for the similarly built Evans. Prior to the injury, Jackson was enjoying another solid season, with 21 receptions for 319 yards and two touchdowns in six games as one of Winston's top options in the passing game.
Being without Jackson was a huge hit to a Buccaneers offense that was already short on depth at the wide receiver position. According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, No. 3 receiver Louis Murphy tore his ACL on Oct. 25 and will miss the remainder of the season.
