What Happened to Maxx Crosby Trade? What's Next for Ravens, Raiders After Failed Deal
The Las Vegas Raiders announced Tuesday that the Baltimore Ravens backed out of the trade agreement between the two teams that sent Raiders star pass-rusher Maxx Crosby to Baltimore.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that Crosby underwent medical testing at the Ravens' facility on Tuesday, with Baltimore deciding that it couldn't move forward with the trade based on the results.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
The Ravens initially agreed to acquire Crosby from the Raiders in exchange for first-round draft picks in 2026 and 2027.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported "we don't know right now" whether Crosby will remain with Las Vegas moving forward.
With his future uncertain after the failed trade, here's how the Ravens and Raiders could proceed moving forward.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens have already watched nine of their unrestricted free agents sign with other teams and could look to bolster their pass rush with additional financial flexibility in free agency.
Baltimore might sign four-time Pro Bowl defensive end Trey Hendrickson, as there seems to be belief within the league that an agreement may be reached.
"Baltimore is gonna sign Trey Hendrickson," an NFL general manager texted NFL insider Jordan Schultz. "Watch."
The Ravens initially added Crosby to bolster their pass rush, as they only amassed 30 sacks during the 2025 season. Baltimore could also target a defensive lineman with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft, as it'll no longer be heading to Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders are still open to possibly repackaging a Crosby trade, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley, Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler.
There's some doubt within the NFL, though.
"I don't know what they do now," a high-ranking team executive told Michael Silver of The Athletic. "I don't know how they walk it back."
The Dallas Cowboys were previously linked to him, although another pursuit doesn't seem likely.
Dallas isn't expected to target Crosby once again because it will be "hard to retrace" their recent acquisitions, per Hensley, Graziano and Fowler.
Multiple teams expect the Raiders to be calling them regarding a Crosby swap, per Russini.
ESPN's Louis Riddick brought up the Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles as organizations that "have to be taking a look at this Crosby situation."
A change of scenery for Crosby still appears to be on the table, but a top landing spot hasn't seemed to emerge just yet.
