
Tracking Every Automatic Bid for March Madness Bracket from 2026 Conference Tournament Winners
The race for the 31 automatic bids in the 2026 NCAA men's basketball tournament is on.
After 15 conference tournaments started last week, 16 more will tip off between Monday and Selection Sunday to determine the rest of the automatic bid winners.
The rest of the NCAA Tournament entrants will then be determined through 37 at-large slots announced during Sunday's bracket reveal.
March Madness starts with the First Four on March 17, when eight teams will begin fighting for a ticket to the opening round.
The tournament starts in earnest with the Round of 64 on March 19, followed by the Round of 32 on March 21. Everything leads up to the national championship game on Monday, April 6 in Indianapolis.
