Cover Athlete and Showcase
3 of 3The reigning, defending, undisputed world heavyweight champion, CM Punk, is the cover athlete for this year's standard edition of WWE 2K26.
One of the top stars in the industry today and of the last two decades, it is The Best in the World's second time covering the annual video game release, with his first coming in 2013.
The face of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, Punk has earned his place on the cover of this year's release, especially considering his first WrestleMania main event in 2025 and two world heavyweight title victories, including one over the seemingly unbeatable Gunther.
The cover is not the only place you will find Punk in this year's game, though.
The Best in the World is the centerpiece of the Showcase mode, which takes gamers on a journey through his Hall of Fame career via several of his most memorable and important matches, beginning with a 2008 title defense against JBL and running through his WrestleMania classic against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns from last year.
Along with legends and icons of the industry, Punk will square off with Superstars he never had the chance to compete against in WWE in a series of dream matches. Opponents include the late Eddie Guerrero, the love-to-hate-them couple of The Miz and Maryse, and his own childhood hero, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
During the journey, fans will have the chance to unlock Superstars, arenas, alternate attires, managers, and championships.
Not bad for a competitor that many believed would never compete in a WWE ring again, huh?
