KC Concepcion Addresses Stuttering with Inspiring Post After People Mocked Him During NFL Combine
For Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion, the NFL Scouting Combine was more than an opportunity to put himself in front of pro talent evaluators.
The junior pass-catcher has experienced a stutter for much of his life, and that's something a lot of fans learned for the first time when he was in Indianapolis.
In a post on social media, Concepcion said he strives to be "a role model for those who may be scared to speak up":

"I stand with you," he said. "This weekend has taught e a lot about myself and people out here in this world. … Don't let a outside person's thoughts, opinions get in the way of you being great, of you achieving something in life. I am blessed to be in the position that I am in and I want to help give back to those who are scared to speak up, who aren't as confident. I stand with you. I will always stand with you."
Concepcion, who spent two seasons at North Carolina State before transferring to A&M, had 185 receptions for 2,218 yards and 25 touchdowns in 38 career appearances. He's the No. 17 overall player and fourth-best wideout in Bleacher Report's 2026 big board.
The B/R NFL Scouting Department projected him to land on the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 21st pick.
B/R's Dame Parson coincidentally compared Concepcion to Emmanuel Sanders, who played in Pittsburgh for his first four years in the NFL.
"Concepcion is an explosive playmaker in space," Parson wrote. "Once he secures the football, he places defenders in conflict. He excels in creating plays after the catch with his toughness, elusiveness and explosiveness. His versatility opens up the playbook, because he's also dangerous on bubble screens, pre-snap motion, jet sweeps and handoffs."
