WWE 2K26 Details on Top Modes, New Gameplay Options and Superstars
The annual tag team between WWE and 2K Games remains a hugely popular one, thanks to the production's willingness to upgrade, change, and enhance the player experience and it appears both sides and accomplished that again with this year's release, WWE 2K26.

No longer a Roman Reigns-centric mode, The Island returns for a second year with three factions feuding for supremacy. CM Punk (Order of Anarchy), Rhea Ripley (Order of Shadows), and Cody Rhodes (Order of Tradition) lead three groups determined to bring the old ways of pro wrestling into the future.
The arena in which Reigns was defeated in 2K25 is now known as The Scrapyard, a battleground for those factions to compete, and there are four new progression tiers for created Superstars to make their way through:
There are multiplayer updates and a PvE experience known as "Towers," which allow participants to earn rewards and increase their reputations.
A glorified pay-to-play option that earned criticism in 2K25, it will be interesting to see if there were any changes to the mode rectify that issue.
MyRise
One of the more popular modes in the WWE releases because it allows players to utilize their created Superstars, MyRise features an all new story for gamers this year.
Dominated by Paul Heyman, the story sees your wrestler return after a two-year hiatus, only to be beaten by Heyman's hand-selected Superstars, Bron Breakker or Jordynne Grace, depending on the division the player selects.
From there, they may claw, scratch, and fight their way to redemption and along the way, dispatch some of the biggest stars in the WWE Universe.

3 of 3Rhea Ripley tops the WWE roster in this year's release, rated 96, one point above her closest runners-up, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. It is the second year in a row that The Eradicator has scored that number been at the top of the roster ratings.
She is joined this year by a collection of current and legendary stars.
NXT stars Blake Monroe, Izzi Dame, Myles Borne, Hank and Tank, Zaria, Wren Sinclair, Yoshiki Inamura, and Karmen Petrovic make up several new faces in this year's roster while main roster competitors JC Mateo, Rey Fenix, and Talla Tonga get their first crack at competing in the game.
New women's intercontinental champion AJ Lee makes her long-awaited debut in the game, too, joining husband and cover athlete, CM Punk.
As always, the crop of Superstars featured is one of the most expansive in wrestling game history and will inevitably feature downloadable content that has yet to be announced, allowing fans to compete as their favorites, create dream match-ups, and book their own premium live events.
