Spencer Fano and Top Offensive Linemen Shine, 2026 NFL Draft Takeaways From Day 4 of Combine

BR NFL Draft Scouting Dept.Mar 1, 2026

The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine will officially end on Monday, but Sunday brought the final round of on-field workouts and drills.

With quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers taking the stage on Saturday, Sunday's parade of offensive linemen may have seemed a bit anticlimactic. However, success is hard to find in the NFL without dependable play from the offensive line.

Teams will be interested in the O-line prospects who managed to shine on Sunday, and there were several.

The list of impressive offensive linemen included Utah tackle prospect Spencer Fano and Penn State interior lineman Olaivavega Ioane, two of the O-line prospects who are ranked inside the top 20 on the B/R Scouting Department's post-Senior Bowl draft board.

Fans who enjoy watching big blockers run fast will note that Fano was also one of nine linemen who ran the 40-yard dash in under five seconds. Of course, Sunday's evaluation was about much more than straight-line speed.

Bleacher Report scout Brandon Thorn was on-site in Indianapolis for Sunday's events and provided key takeaways for some of the day's top performers.

Spencer Fano

Jude Bowry, Boston College

Jude Bowry put together an excellent day of testing and on-field drills that will remind people how twitched-up he is on film despite struggles with technique.

Bowry had a rough outing in Mobile at the Senior Bowl and was better in 2024 than 2025 for Boston College, but at the combine, he showcased the movement skills that made him an enticing prospect in the first place.

Spencer Fano, Utah

Fano measured in with shorter-than-expected arms at 32⅛", but he did at least clear the 80" (80¼") wingspan marker. (Notable OTs under 80¼" include Brian O'Neill, Kaleb McGary and Rashawn Slater.)

Fano's appeal on film of being an excellent athlete translated to the workout (9.74 RAS), and he was easily the smoothest mover among the OL in drills. Despite being more sawed-off than expected, Fano had an outstanding showing in Indy.

Caleb Lomu, Utah

Caleb Lomu had a slight slip-up during his RT kick-slide drill, but he was otherwise buttery-smooth redirecting while posting a 4.99-second 40 with excellent jumps. Lomu checked boxes that matched the caliber of movement skills seen on his tape.

Diego Pounds, Mississippi

Diego Pounds was one of the select few players whom I hadn't studied in depth entering the week, and I came away impressed with his ability to sink his hips, maintain his posture and redirect at 6'6" and 325 pounds. He will be one of the first players I watch when I get back from the combine.

Chase Bisontis, Texas A&M

Chase Bistontis came into the week with some buzz about his legendary weight-room exploits. That made his overall profile that much more intriguing since his movement skills were the most impressive facet of his film.

The former Aggie cemented those strengths with a 9.85 RAS and also looked fluid during the on-field drills.

Parker Brailsford kicked the day off with elite jumps and the best broad jump since 2003 among centers at 9'10". This preceded a very strong on-field workout, where he displayed coordinated feet and quick redirect skills. Brailsford needed to light it up after weighing in at 289 pounds. Mission accomplished.

Fernando Carmona, Arkansas

Fernando Carmona looked like a more limited athlete on film and at the Senior Bowl than he tested, and he also put together a solid on-field portion of the combine workout.

Carmona has played a lot of football at multiple positions with high character marks, so this workout will make me revisit the tape one more time before finalizing my grade on him as well.

What can easily get lost in the hype about his appearance is that Gennings Dunker put together an impressive overall combine, not only with testing and on-field drills but also flexibility.

Before the workout started, the OL were put through a series of flexibility tests, and he had some of the best shoulder and hamstring mobility that I saw. Dunker's linear explosiveness was evident on film, but his pliability and redirect skills were among the most pleasant surprises I saw from anyone today.

Olaivavega Ioane, Penn State

Vega Ioane leaves the combine with his top-rated guard status intact after posting solid jumps and having a rock-solid on-field workout. Ioane wasn't the most explosive mover today, but he was always under control and showed off heavy hands anytime he struck a bag during drills.

Logan Jones, Iowa

Logan Jones is extremely sawed off with a sub-31" arm length that will make it difficult for him to stick on a good chunk of NFL defensive linemen one-versus-one. However, his refined zone run-blocking skills on tape, paired with very good movement skills confirmed in Sunday's workout, help his case as a player who can carve out a role inside a zone-beach scheme flanked by two hulking guards.

Emmanuel Pregnon posted an incredible 35-inch vertical at 315 pounds while displaying coordinated feet during the on-field workouts. He also has baseball mitt-esque 11-inch hands that only enhance his formidable upper-body strength on film.

The former Duck helped quiet some concerns about his sluggish redirect lapses seen on tape in 2025.

Keylan Rutledge, Georgia Tech

Keylan Rutledge is known for his blend of size, natural power, and violent demeanor. He also tested better than expected with a 9.62 RAS score, including posting the best short shuttle among all OL (4.54).

Rutledge was an adept puller on film, which also translated to the pulling and wave drills during the on-field portion.

While the 2026 scouting combine may be coming to an end, the predraft process is far from over. Individual team meetings, private workouts and a full slate of pro days will further impact the draft picture between now and the start of the draft on April 23.

However, many future NFL hopefuls showed out at Lucas Oil Stadium this past week. Bleacher Report Scouting Department of Brandon Thorn, Dame Parson, Daniel Harms and Matt Holder tracked all of the activity and provided takeaways for every position group.

Recaps of the combine's first three workout days can be found below:

The B/R Scouting Department will release its updated post-combine mock draft on Tuesday, March 3. Its post-Super Bowl mock can be found here.
