WWE WrestleMania 42 Match Card Predictions After Elimination Chamber 2026 Results

Chris MuellerMar 1, 2026

The Elimination Chamber is in the books, which means the next PLE stop is WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

After Saturday's event, five matches are officially set for the two-night event, with several more to be added in the coming weeks.

Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan had already declared who they would be challenging at 'Mania following their Rumble wins, so this weekend's show was all about finding challengers for Drew McIntyre and Jade Cargill.

The final announced match is an open challenge issued by Brock Lesnar, so his opponent will likely be a mystery until they make their entrance at 'Mania.

Let's go through each contest and make some WrestleMania predictions.

Brock Lesnar Open Challenge

1 of 6
WWE Royal Rumble

There are a lot of potential opponents who could step up to Lesnar at 'Mania, but there is one man who makes more sense than anyone else.

Ever since they met at the Royal Rumble, fans have been begging WWE to book Lesnar against Oba Femi.

The Ruler has been squashing the likes of The Miz and Kit Wilson since then, but giving him a match against The Beast would instantly raise his profile.

We're even going to go out on a limb and say that if this does happen, Femi will get the win. WWE knows it needs to invest in some young stars to fill its main event scene, and Femi is the perfect choice.

Prediction: Femi answers the challenge and defeats Lesnar

Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Vaquer

2 of 6
Monday Night RAW

By the time WrestleMania rolls around, Vaquer will have held the women's world title for roughly six months.

Morgan is clearly a priority for WWE management, so having her win the belt feels like the safest bet we can make.

That will give Vaquer a decent first reign as champion, and it will put Morgan right back on top of the women's division.

As usual, Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez will likely play a role in the outcome, but when it's all said and done, Morgan is going to be leaving Vegas with a new belt.

Prediction: Morgan defeated Vaquer for the world title

Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton

3 of 6
SmackDown

McIntyre inserted himself into Saturday's Chamber match and accomplished his goal of preventing Rhodes from winning, but that means he has to face Orton at WrestleMania.

At least, that's what WWE wants you to think.

This feels like the kind of situation that is going to lead to WWE turning this into a multi-man match.

The WWE champion has Jacob Fatu, Sami Zayn, Rhodes, Orton and a few others all gunning to take him out, so it feels like WWE's best course of action would be to put them all in the ring and let them fight it out.

McIntyre hasn't even had the title for two months, so 'Mania feels like it would be too early for him to drop it, and that is why we are going with him retaining as our pick.

Prediction: McIntyre wins a multi-man match to retain the WWE title

Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill

4 of 6
NBA: FEB 24 Charlotte Hornets at Chicago Bulls

Heading into Saturday's show, Ripley seemed like the obvious choice to win the women's Chamber match.

She and Cargill have never shared a ring together, even for a multi-person match, so this will be a rare first-time encounter we get at WrestleMania.

If we are being honest about it, Cargill's reign has been lacking. Some of it can be attributed to booking, but it also feels like she just might not have been ready for that position yet.

Ripley winning the title will allow for the main event scene on SmackDown to feel more competitive again, and with her being one of the most popular stars in WWE, it's guaranteed to get a huge pop from the crowd.

Prediction: Rhea Ripley wins the WWE women's title

CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns

5 of 6
Monday Night RAW

It feels like Reigns and Punk have been feuding on and off since The Straight-Edge Superstar returned to WWE, but their biggest clash is yet to come.

These two will step into the ring at WrestleMania 42 to fight over the World Heavyweight Championship in what is sure to be one of the most anticipated encounters.

While there are arguments to be made against Reigns winning, such as his part-time schedule, it still feels like this is the direction WWE is going to go. Even being part-time, Reigns is still one of the biggest draws in the company.

Punk has had a fine run as the world champion with some solid matches under his belt, so there would be no shame in him dropping the title to The Tribal Chief.

Prediction: Reigns wins the world title from Punk

Additions to the Card

6 of 6
SmackDown

With only five announced matches, WWE still has a lot of space on the card across both nights. Here are some additions we think will be made in the coming weeks.

Carmelo Hayes vs. Trick Williams

Hayes and Williams have both been standouts on SmackDown recently, so not giving them spots at 'Mania would be a massive oversight. Putting them together for a U.S. title bout would reignite their NXT feud and give the fans a great match in the process.

Seth Rollins vs. Logan Paul

The Elimination Chamber saw Seth Rollins return and go after Paul, which feels like WWE's way of setting them up for a showdown. The Vision's old leader is back, and setting him up to face Paul is the best option with Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker on the shelf with injuries.

Giulia vs. Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair was clearly upset about not being on the Chamber card, so she is going to be looking to make sure she ends up fighting at WrestleMania. With both top titles already spoken for, having her challenge Giulia for the United States Championship is the next best option.

Multi-Team Tag Title Match

WWE's tag team division has suffered in recent months, but that is not the fault of the talent. Management simply hasn't put any effort into it, and whenever that happens, it feels like WWE relies on a multi-team match at big events like this.

The MFTs could defend the belts against Fraxiom, The Street Profits, the Wyatt Sicks, and even The Lucha Bros if WWE ever decides to put them together. There is no shortage of good options for challengers. In fact, there are so many good teams that booking multiple duos is the best option.
