NFL Draft Sleeper Picks Who Could Become ROTY ⭐
Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love: Top-10 Draft Pick
There probably shouldn't have been any doubt that Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love will be a top-10 draft pick, but he locked that certainty for good on Saturday as he did both running back and wide receiver drills.
Frankly, top 10 might be too low of a projection.
Multiple teams in the top 10 could use a game-changing running back of the present and future, and three of them are picking back-to-back-to-back from No. 7 to No. 9 in the Washington Commanders, New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs. The Commanders and Chiefs, in particular, seem like potential landing spots (if he gets past the top six).
Omar Cooper Jr.: Round 1 Pick
Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr.'s draft stock is on the rise, and he's being talked about as a Round 1 pick after a solid Saturday, especially after clocking a 4.43 40-yard dash.
Blazing 40-Yard Dash Times
Wide receiver Deion Burks posted a 40-yard dash time of 4.31 seconds, among the best of the day behind Mississippi State's Brenen Thompson:
Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazzell II is a potential first-round pick who has some New England Patriots analysts talking about him being the choice at No. 31 overall.
Brazzell had himself a day.
Bleacher Report has a second-round grade on Brazzell, but he's close to the first round at No. 37 overall.
The running backs overall form the fastest group all time at the position in the Combine, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Arkansas running back Mike Washington Jr. stood out among that group with his 4.33-second 40-yard dash time.
He is also dominating the combine in general in historic fashion, per Keith Lee Platte.
Speaking of Arkansas, quarterback Taylen Green may have done the most to rise up draft boards on Saturday:
Green has even drawn comparisons to former NFL star quarterback Randall Cunningham.
As for the QB1, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is all but certain to go to the Las Vegas Raiders at first overall. He appeared at the combine but did not participate in drills.
Frankly, there's no reason for him too as he waltzes his way to No. 1 after winning a Heisman Trophy and a national championship for the undefeated Hoosiers.
The Combine concludes Sunday with offensive linemen finishing out the week, and then Pro Day season will begin and take up all of March and early April before the draft begins on April 23.
