Von Miller Reportedly Hopes to Become NFL GM, Learned About Job at 2026 Combine
Veteran pass-rusher Von Miller attended the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine to learn more about becoming a general manager in the future, according to DNVR's Zac Stevens.
Per Stevens, Miller has "long wanted to be a GM after his playing days" are over.
The eight-time Pro Bowler appeared in 17 games with the Washington Commanders during the 2025 season, which included three starts.

Miller has attended the Combine in the past, meeting with multiple front office personnel at the event in 2023.
"You gotta build relationships," Miller said of being a general manager at the time, per ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg. "How do I know this guy's a great coach? How do I know he's a bad coach? How will he fit into my culture? What is my culture?"
"To take the next step, I want the people around me to know, like, OK, nothing was given to me. I worked," he added. "I evaluated these players, spent time with coaching, scouting department, spent time with the pro personnel guys ... I want to be in that position where I know my s--t."
Miller's ideal career path isn't unheard of. San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch earned a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame after serving as a stellar safety from 1993 through 2007.
Despite Miller's interest in moving to the front office, he's still looking to continue playing in 2026 as he prepares to hit free agency. He'll be 37 years old at the start of next season.
Miller wrapped up a resurgent 2025 campaign with the Commanders, racking up 26 tackles, 15 quarterback hits and nine sacks.
