Von Miller 'Would Love' Broncos Reunion in NFL Free Agency, Talks Commanders Contract

Zach BacharFeb 6, 2026

Washington Commanders pass-rusher Von Miller revealed that he'd be interested in a reunion with the Denver Broncos if he ends up looking for a new landing spot during his impending free agency.

"If something were to happen and I'm not a Washington Commander, I would love to go back to the Denver Broncos," Miller said during an appearance on The Arena: Gridiron. "It's unfinished business for me and Broncos Country. I was traded midseason. I didn't have that ability to get that closure. I didn't even know what my last game in that stadium would be. I would love to go back for Broncos Country and the fans and be able to contribute to the Broncos the same way DeMarcus and Aqib and all those guys did for us."

Miller also noted that he would "love to be back" with the Commanders if they attempt to agree to a new contract with him, though.

The 36-year-old opened his career in Denver, suiting up for the team from 2011 until he was traded in the middle of the 2021 season.

Miller earned eight Pro Bowl nods with the Broncos and helped them win Super Bowl 50, earning Super Bowl MVP honors in the process.

He was dealt from Denver to the Los Angeles Rams in the middle of his 2021 campaign, hoisting the second Lombardi Trophy of his career after playing a key role in Los Angeles' Super Bowl LVI victory.

The Broncos have some history with bringing in experienced contributors on their defense, as veteran outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware and cornerback Aqib Talib both starred alongside Miller on their Super Bowl 50 squad.

While Denver already boasts an imposing pass rush led by Nik Bonitto, it could be interested in a reunion with the team's all-time sack leader for a rotational role.

After all, Miller is coming off a 2025 campaign in which he racked up nine sacks in 17 games.
