Big East Tournament 2026 TV Schedule and Early Men's Bracketology Predictions
The 2026 Big East tournament will be more top-heavy than previous iterations of the postseason event at Madison Square Garden.
The UConn Huskies, St. John's Red Storm and Villanova Wildcats are in a clear class above the rest of the conference.
All three of those programs have double-digit win totals in conference play. Only one other school has a winning record in league action.
You can never fully rule out a surprise at the Big East tournament, but it feels like one of the top three teams will cut down the nets on March 14.

UConn and St. John's are in line to be the top two seeds in New York.
UConn is a half-game ahead of St. John's in the league standings with two winnable games left on its league slate.
St. John's owns a two-game edge in the loss column over Villanova, so it can still be the No. 2 seed if it loses to the Wildcats on Saturday.
Villanova and St. John's will be on a collision course for a semifinal meeting in New York. The Johnnies won the first regular-season meeting. Villanova is 0-3 against UConn and St. John's this season.
The Creighton Bluejays are the only team to have multiple wins over UConn, St. John's and Villanova in Big East play.
Creighton could slide up to the No. 4 seed from its current fifth-place spot. It would have to beat UConn, who it defeated on February 18, to be a surprise finalist.
St. John's and Villanova just need one win against lesser competition in the quarterfinals to reach the semifinals. The Red Storm and Wildcats have a combined two losses against the teams sitting in fourth through 11th in the league standings.
UConn is the class of the league, and it has the easier path to the semifinal, so it's hard not to label the Huskies as the favorite to win in New York.
