The Revolution title bout was made official on the Feb. 11 episode of Dynamite when The Young Bucks defeated The Rascalz and Private Party in a three-way tag team match to become No. 1 contenders for the tag titles.

On the following week's episode of Collision, FTR faced The Rascalz in a Tag Team Championship eliminator match, and The Young Bucks got involved.

FTR ended up losing due to a distraction provided by The Young Bucks, and that led to a chaotic scene at ringside with FTR getting into an altercation with members of The Bucks' family, who were in the front row.

After FTR's manager, Stokely Hathaway, threw powder in the face of The Young Bucks' father, FTR pulled The Young Bucks' brother over the barricade.

Then, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler hit Nick and Matt Jackson's brother with a spike piledriver.

That incident added another layer to what was already a long-running and storied rivalry between FTR and The Young Bucks.

Sunday marked the fifth time FTR and The Young Bucks faced off in a two-on-two tag team match, and the first time since April 2024.

They split their first two meetings with The Young Bucks winning at Full Gear 2020 and Dynasty 2024, and FTR coming out on top on an episode of Dynamite in 2022 and at All In 2023.

FTR prevailed in the rubber match at Revolution, thus continuing their third AEW World Tag Team Championship reign, which is tied with The Young Bucks for the most in company history. With Dynasty as the next major event for AEW on April 12 in Canada, it looks like it'll be Copeland and Christian challenging FTR for the titles.
