Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill Set for WWE WrestleMania 42 After Win at Elimination Chamber
Rhea Ripley will challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania 42 after winning the six-woman Elimination Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber premium live event on Saturday.
Ripley emerged victorious despite being pushed to the limit by five of the top stars in the WWE women's division: Tiffany Stratton, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Kiana James and Alexa Bliss.

Ripley, who entered the ring in the No. 5 position, won after pinning Stratton, who tried to hit her with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever. Instead, Ripley responded by pushing Stratton face first into the pod. Ripley then dragged Stratton into the ring and hit her with a Riptide for the victory.
Bliss was the first woman eliminated after Asuka sprayed her with poison mist. James then rolled Bliss up for the pin.
Raquel Rodriguez then eliminated James and Asuka. She first executed a running powerslam on James through one of the pods before tossing her into the ring. Asuka then tried to get in Rodriguez's way, but that effort failed as Rodriguez hit her with a Tejana Bomb and then pinned both at the same time.
Rodriguez was next to go. Ripley hit her with a cannonball on top of the pod while Rodriguez was on the turnbuckle about to attack Stratton. Then Stratton hit Rodriguez with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the pin.
A series of Triple Threat qualifying matches took place on Raw and SmackDown in the weeks leading up to Elimination Chamber to determine the field for the women's contest.
Stratton took down Chelsea Green and Lash Legend, Ripley beat Lyra Valkyria and Ivy Nile, Bliss defeated Zelina Vega and Giulia, Asuka triumphed over Bayley and Nattie, James upset Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax, and Rodriguez got past Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane.
While Liv Morgan won the women's Royal Rumble match, she teased WrestleMania 42 matches against both women's world champion Stephanie Vaquer and WWE women's champion Jade Cargill.
However, Morgan made her final decision on Monday night's episode of Raw by attacking Vaquer and declaring she would be her WrestleMania opponent.
That left Cargill and the WWE Women's Championship as the targets for the Elimination Chamber winner.
Following her victory on Saturday, Ripley will be faced with challenging one of the most dominant and physically imposing women in all of WWE.
The Australian is strong in her own right, though, and she will have the opportunity to impose her will on Cargill at WrestleMania.
Although Ripley is currently in a tag team with Sky, they lost the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships to Jax and Legend on Friday night, paving the way for Ripley to focus entirely on going after Cargill and the WWE Women's Championship.
