Duke men's basketball head coach Jon Scheyer said that multiple Blue Devil staff members were punched in the face after UNC fans stormed their home court following a 71-68 victory over the arch-rival Blue Devils on Saturday evening.

UNC fans initially stormed the court after guard Seth Trimble hit a game-winning three-pointer to put the Tar Heels up 71-68.

Time ran out on the clock, but upon review, officials put four-tenths of a second back up. After Duke's desperation full-court inbounds play was unsuccessful, UNC fans stormed the court again when time ran out for good.

Video has also emerged of a court-stormer throwing a water bottle at the Duke team as well.

UNC trailed 18-5 early in the game and 49-38 in the second half, but the Tar Heels stormed back late thanks to a trio of three-pointers from Derek Dixon, Henri Veesaar and then Trimble.

Caleb Wilson led UNC with 23 points. Cameron Boozer paced Duke with 24 points and 11 boards.

Duke co-leads the ACC at 10-1 (21-2 overall) with Clemson. UNC improved to 7-3 in conference and 19-4 overall.

The two teams will play again on Saturday, March 7 when Duke hosts UNC.
