Shedeur Sanders Talks Michael Vick's Influence as NFL Mentor, 'Great Resource for Me'
Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders says Michael Vick has "always been a great resource career" throughout his first season in the NFL.
"Mike Vick, I talk to him often, and I talked to him a lot during this year, just about everything," Sanders said in a Tuesday appearance on the Up & Adams Show. "He's always been a great resource for me, in a great way, just to have somebody to talk to."
Sanders took a photo with Vick, a former four-time Pro Bowl and currently head coach at Norfolk State University, ahead of Tuesday's Pro Bowl games at the Moscone Center.
Vick previously said he spoke with Sanders' father Deion Sanders, who also worked as an HBCU coach at Jackson State before leaving to take over at Colorado, before making his coaching debut last fall.
Sanders became the first Browns quarterback since 2007 to earn a Pro Bowl nod when he was named as a replacement for Drake Maye, who is currently preparing to lead the New England Patriots into Super Bowl LX.
He received the honor after making seven appearances for the Browns in his rookie season, finishing the run with a 3-4 record before heading into the offseason as a potential QB1 candidate for 2026.
Sanders could now see some more playing time when the Pro Bowl Games' AFC versus NFC flag football game kicks off Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET.
