Tacario Davis NFL Draft 2026 Scouting Report for Cincinnati Bengals CB
The Cincinnati Bengals selected Washington CB Tacario Davis with the No. 72 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
Tacario Davis thrives in press coverage, where he uses his unique length to disrupt timing and the route stems of receivers. He's an enforcer on the boundary in the run and pass game, and he's a willing and strong tackler.
A couple of injuries derailed his 2025 season, but he'll enter his rookie season in the NFL fully healthy and ready to show what he's made of.
The 3-star recruit and Arizona transfer had 95 tackles (63 solo), three interceptions and 25 passes defensed throughout his collegiate career. His ball production is one thing, but his physicality and unique blend of movement skills and size offer an intriging skill set to NFL defenses.
Dan has covered the Kansas City Chiefs and the NFL Draft since 2019 while contributing for RGR Football. Most recently, he spent the 2025 draft cycle at The Draft Network and is entering his first season in our scouting department.

Where He Wins
2 of 5
— Good athlete with excellent length and size. Moves well for a defender of his size to maintain connectivity throughout routes.
— Physical, press-man corner who does a good job riding receivers outside and pressing them to the sideline. Consistently throws off timing with an effective jam and timing.
— Active in the run game, coming downhill and throwing his body around as a force defender. Takes on blocks and makes plays in the flat against screens, too.
—Consistent and willing tackler who utilizes his length to wrap up and doesn't miss many tackles.
Areas of Improvement
3 of 5
— Struggles in off coverage to mirror and turn with receivers. Hip sink is inconsistent, and he remains too tall in transitions. Allows receivers to create lateral separation, and will get grabby.
— Needs to improve eye discipline with more variables (receiver, route concepts, depth, etc.) added into a play. Lacks awareness of everything going on around him.
— Wide turns in transitions lead to quicker and faster receivers gaining an edge on him in space. Build-up speed player who lacks the burst to close space laterally and down the field.
— Needs to address his ball-tracking and ball skills to consistently make plays on the ball in the air. Turns would-be interceptions into pass breakups.
