Missouri's Annor Boateng Stretchered Off Court with Injury After Taking Hard Fall on Dunk Attempt

Missouri sophomore Annor Boateng was stretchered off the court after a hard fall on a dunk attempt during a Saturday afternoon home game against Mississippi State.

The Columbia Missourian's Joseph Pastilha wrote that Boateng "lost his footing while taking off for a dunk on a fast break, and hit the ground hard."

Pastilha noted that Boateng "was able to stand up" after his fall.

He had recorded two points, two rebounds and a block in three minutes on the court prior to his fall.

Boateng was down on the court for some time after his fall, according to Missouri Tigers on SI's Joey Van Zummeren.

He sat up on his stretcher, clapped along with applauding fans and shaped a heart with his hands as he was carried off.

Calum McAndrew of the Columbia Daily Tribune reported that Boateng's left knee appeared to be in a brace as he was removed from the court.

Boateng was the Tigers' highest-ranked recruit in seven years when he first signed with the program in November 2023, according to Mizzou

At the time, Boateng was rated as the No. 26 prospect in the nation by 247Sports.

He is in now his second season with Missouri, where he appeared in 17 games mostly as a reserve during his freshman season.

Boateng had appeared in 14 previous games this seasonwhile missing time both due to injuries and being scratched.

He was averaging 2.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 0.4 steals in about 12 minutes per game heading into Saturday's matchup.

Missouri went into Saturday's conference matchup having gone 14-7 overall, including a 12-1 mark at home but just a 4-4 record in SEC play.
