Fantasy Football 2015: Training Camp Top-10 Rankings for Every Skill Position
Many players will boost or hurt their respective fantasy stocks as training camp and the preseason progress, but most of the top-tier options at each position will remain as such when the regular season begins (with the exception of injuries).
With that said, there are plenty of differing opinions with regard to fantasy rankings from top to bottom as the 2015 campaign approaches. There is no clear-cut No. 1 overall player, and with fantasy superstars such as New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell set to serve suspensions, there is a great deal of uncertainty involved.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
As the opening of training camp across the league signals the beginning of fantasy football draft season, here is a rundown of the top options to consider at every skill position.
Quarterback
| 1 | Andrew Luck | IND |
| 2 | Aaron Rodgers | GB |
| 3 | Peyton Manning | DEN |
| 4 | Ben Roethlisberger | PIT |
| 5 | Drew Brees | NO |
| 6 | Russell Wilson | SEA |
| 7 | Tony Romo | DAL |
| 8 | Matt Ryan | ATL |
| 9 | Eli Manning | NYG |
| 10 | Tom Brady | NE |
Many expected Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck to enjoy his true breakout season last year, and that is precisely what he did, as he put up over 5,000 total yards and 43 touchdowns. As tough as it may be to fathom him getting even better, it is most definitely a real possibility.
Few quarterbacks in the league are surrounded with as much talent as Luck. He has a talented quartet of wide receivers in T.Y. Hilton, Andre Johnson, Donte Moncrief and Phillip Dorsett to go along with tight ends Dwayne Allen and Coby Fleener.
With that many weapons to throw to, 50 total touchdowns is within reach, which is why he edges out Green Bay Packers signal-caller Aaron Rodgers.
The most divisive quarterbacks in fantasy this season are arguably the two best of all time in Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos and Brady. Many are concerned about Manning since a quad injury slowed him down late last season, and it has caused some, including NFL Network's Adam Rank, to predict a fall from grace:
Manning still ended up with over 4,700 yards and 39 touchdowns in 2014, and with wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders in place, he'll still be among the very best.
As for Brady, every indication is that he'll miss the first four games of the season. His draft stratus will be significantly impacted by that, but savvy owners can nab someone on the fringes of the top 10 such as Philip Rivers of the San Diego Chargers or Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, start them for four weeks and replace them with what is sure to be a motivated Brady.
Running Back
| 1 | Jamaal Charles | KC |
| 2 | Le'Veon Bell | PIT |
| 3 | Eddie Lacy | GB |
| 4 | LeSean McCoy | BUF |
| 5 | Adrian Peterson | MIN |
| 6 | Matt Forte | CHI |
| 7 | Marshawn Lynch | SEA |
| 8 | DeMarco Murray | PHI |
| 9 | Arian Foster | HOU |
| 10 | C.J. Anderson | DEN |
The running back position is extremely interesting in fantasy this season since it is top-heavy before dropping off significantly following the first round.
There are also about four or five candidates to be the first running back taken off the board. Bell seems to be the most popular choice since he dominated to the tune of well over 2,000 total yards and 11 touchdowns in 2014.
He will have to sit out the first two games of the season due to a suspension, but that doesn't worry NFL.com's Matt Harmon:
As pointed out by Evan Silva of Rotoworld, no other running back was anywhere close to Bell last season down the stretch in terms of production:
Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers star Eddie Lacy may be safer picks since they have a chance to play in all 16 games. Charles is a particularly attractive selection because of his consistency over the past several years.
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has the talent to vault back into the No. 1 spot after missing all but one game last season; however, this stat from Patrick Daugherty of Rotoworld suggests history is working against him:
Those looking to minimize risk would be wise to go with Charles first, but it is certainly easy to make an argument for Bell after what he did last season.
Wide Receiver
| 1 | Antonio Brown | PIT |
| 2 | Demaryius Thomas | DEN |
| 3 | Dez Bryant | DAL |
| 4 | Odell Beckham Jr. | NYG |
| 5 | Calvin Johnson | DET |
| 6 | A.J. Green | CIN |
| 7 | Jordy Nelson | GB |
| 8 | Julio Jones | ATL |
| 9 | T.Y. Hilton | IND |
| 10 | Emmanuel Sanders | DEN |
No position is more talented in fantasy football this season than wide receiver, but it is tough to make an argument for anyone other than Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Antonio Brown being the No. 1 guy.
He was spectacular in 2014, as he caught a ridiculous 129 passes for 1,698 yards and 13 touchdowns. He wasn't highly touted coming out of college as a sixth-round pick in 2010, but the diminutive pass-catcher has somehow developed into one of the best the NFL has to offer.
In fact, New England Patriots safety Devin McCourty believes he is the cream of the crop at the wide receiver position, according to Phil Perry of CSNNE.com:
"I think this is one of the hardest positions to even evaluate. Because first of all, you look at the receiver position and the first thing you want to do is put these freak athletes like Calvin Johnson, Dez Bryant (at the top). But I started my list with Antonio Brown. We talk about all these guys that are big and talented and fast—they can do everything. But this little guy led all receivers last year. He did everything, while still punt returning. You can look at everything that a guy brings to the table, but don't disregard production and I thought he was the No. 1 productive receiver last year so I put him there.
"
McCourty's analysis is on point, and with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers looking likely to throw early and often once again in 2015, Brown could come close to matching his 2014 production.
Thomas, Dez Bryant and Odell Beckham Jr. are all names to watch, as is Calvin Johnson, who isn't receiving much love after being the top-ranked wide receiver entering the season last year.
Opposing defenses limited him to just 71 catches for 1,077 yards and eight touchdowns in 2014, but Frank Schwab of Yahoo Sports explained how much an injury negatively affected him:
If Megatron can stay healthy, then he has a chance to be the top wide receiver once again. He is going in the second round in most fantasy drafts, which is incredible value considering what it took to acquire him last year.
Tight End
| 1 | Rob Gronkowski | NE |
| 2 | Jimmy Graham | SEA |
| 3 | Greg Olsen | CAR |
| 4 | Julius Thomas | JAC |
| 5 | Jason Witten | DAL |
| 6 | Travis Kelce | KC |
| 7 | Zach Ertz | PHI |
| 8 | Owen Daniels | DEN |
| 9 | Martellus Bennett | CHI |
| 10 | Jordan Cameron | MIA |
When it comes to tight ends, the conversation begins and ends with New England Patriots superstar Rob Gronkowski.
Big Gronk was easily the best fantasy tight end last season with 82 receptions for 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns. He seemed to put past injury issues behind him, and there is every reason to believe he will be great once again in 2015.
The only issue is Brady's impending four-game suspension, which means Gronkowski will likely have Jimmy Garoppolo throwing him the ball for four games. That isn't ideal, but the other tight ends have even bigger question marks.
Jimmy Graham and Julius Thomas were elite options last season, but with Graham being traded to the run-first Seattle Seahawks and Thomas signing with the offensively challenged Jacksonville Jaguars, they certainly aren't sure things.
In fact, Andy Behrens of Yahoo Sports believes Graham won't even crack the top five fantasy tight ends in 2015.
That's a bit extreme considering his immense physical talent, but in terms of safe picks, it doesn't get much better than Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen and Jason Witten of the Dallas Cowboys, both of whom are in largely unchanged situations.
Gronk is still the guy to beat by a wide margin, though, and he's well worth a late first- or early second-round pick.
