A.J. Brown Trade Landing Spots Predicted by NFL Insiders Amid Rumors on Eagles Future
One NFL personnel evaluator predicted Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown will wind up in Western New York this offseason.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler canvassed league sources to go out on a limb a bit and project some blockbuster moves that could happen. A trade sending Brown to the Buffalo Bills was one of them.
"The Bills have to upgrade there — their best receiver is Khalil Shakir, who is a nice player but he's not a top guy," the evaluator said. "Brown is an immediate upgrade and he's still young [turning 29 in June]. And the Eagles can build the passing game around DeVonta Smith and a high draft pick."

Why Walker Knew He'd Leave Seahawks
Fowler cited the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders as hypothesized destinations, and a reunion with the Tennessee Titans was even floated.
Earlier this month, ESPN's Adam Schefter threw out a team that wasn't included in the list: the New England Patriots.
"We could think of any number of homes, I think there was a coach who had him in Tennessee who probably would like to have him again in New England," Schefter said while alluding to Mike Vrabel. "That would be a logical conclusion to draw."
This saga could have an anticlimactic conclusion.
The Eagles are going to install a new offensive coordinator in 2026 after removing Kevin Patullo. Between that and having a full offseason for everyone to mentally reset, Brown could prefer to stick around in Philadelphia when the moment comes.
And as general manager Howie Roseman said last week, acquiring "great players" is easier said than done. Philly may not be in a rush to deal him.
Nobody would be shocked if all parties decided it was time to move on, though. As talented as Brown is, the Eagles might balk at the prospect of another year in which people wonder whether their star pass-catcher is happy or likes his head coach.
As the NFL evaluator explained, the Bills have a pressing need at wideout. Keon Coleman hasn't emerged as a true successor to Stefon Diggs in the way the front office hoped.
Granted injuries played a partial role, but the state of Buffalo's receiver room toward the end of this year was unacceptable for a team with Super Bowl aspirations. This is a problem that predated 2025 as well.
A trade for Brown is something the front office should seriously consider, and it will placate a lot of fans who questioned why ownership fired head coach Sean McDermott while giving Beane a promotion.
