Arch Manning, Dante Moore and Top Potential QBs in 2027 NFL Draft Class

Andrew PetersJan 14, 2026

This year's NFL draft class isn't all that exciting when it comes to quarterbacks, especially now that Oregon's Dante Moore has announced he's staying in college, but next year could be a different story.

Some of the top names that could head to the draft next year include Moore, Texas' Arch Manning, Ohio State's Julian Sayin, South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers and more. There's also potential for under-the-radar quarterbacks to burst onto the scene and emerge as draft favorites.

While the 2025 college football season hasn't even come to an end yet, it feels safe to pencil Moore in as one of, if not the top quarterback prospect in the 2027 draft class. After all, he was widely projected to be one of the first players off the board before he opted to go back to college.

Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department considered Moore to be the ninth-best prospect in the 2026 draft class and the second-best quarterback behind Indiana's Fernando Mendoza. B/R's latest mock draft projected Moore to go to the New York Giants with the second overall pick before his decision.

Moore is coming off a season in which he threw for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while adding 156 rushing yards and a pair of scores on the ground.

Manning perhaps didn't live up to the lofty expectations set for him ahead of his first year as the starter, but he was by no means bad. He collected 3,163 yards, 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions and picked up 399 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.

He impressed in the Citrus Bowl, throwing for 221 yards, rushing for 155 yards and scoring four total touchdowns.

Sayin had a dominant first year as the Buckeyes' starter as he recorded 3,610 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The sophomore has already shown promise, and another year at Ohio State should only help his standing.

Much like Manning, Sellers wasn't able to live up to the hype in 2025. After coming into the year as a Heisman hopeful, the Gamecocks quarterback had just 2,437 yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

But even after a subpar season, Sellers should be considered a favorite to go early in the draft, as he has all the makings of an NFL quarterback.

Moore, Manning, Sayin and Sellers will almost certainly be in the mix to be drafted in the first round, but players like Baylor's DJ Lagway, UCLA's Nico Iamaleava and others could end up having breakout seasons that make them potentially early picks.
