'Badass,' Jayden Daniels Hypes Caleb Williams, Drake Maye and 2024 QB Draft Class
Jayden Daniels looked like the star of the 2024 quarterback draft class when he won the Offensive Rookie of the Year and led the Washington Commanders to the NFC Championship Game last season, but it is Caleb Williams, Drake Maye and Bo Nix who will be in the postseason in their second years in the league.
And Daniels had nothing but support for his fellow 2024 draftees.
"I think that says a lot about our class," he told reporters. "Those guys put in the work, they deserve everything they got and what's to come. I'm certainly excited to see what they do in the playoffs. I'm pretty sure they felt the same for me last year. It'll be fun to sit there and watch them. … We've got a bad ass class of quarterbacks."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Quarterbacks largely defined the 2024 draft, as Williams, Daniels and Maye were the top three picks in a first round that also included Michael Penix Jr. (No. 8), J.J. McCarthy (No. 10) and Nix (No. 12).
Injuries and inconsistent performances have undercut Penix and McCarthy at times, but the other four look the part of long-term franchise cornerstones for years to come.
Daniels got out to the early lead when making comparisons to his draft class, and expectations were sky-high for his second year in the league. However, injuries limited him to just seven games as the Commanders quickly became an afterthought in the NFC playoff race.
While Daniels used a dramatic Hail Mary victory over Williams and the Chicago Bears to propel himself to success in 2024, Williams returned the favor in 2025 when the Bears kicked a last-second field goal to defeat the Commanders in Week 6.
It was the third straight win for the Bears during a stretch that saw them turn an 0-2 start into an NFC North crown and 11-6 finish. With the No. 2 seed locked up and the chance to host two playoff games, perhaps he can follow in Daniels' footsteps and lead his team to the NFC Championship Game.
He is alone in the NFC playoff picture in terms of 2024 quarterback draftees, but Nix and Maye are two of the primary figures in the AFC.
Nix led the Denver Broncos to the No. 1 seed, while Maye is in the middle of a two-way MVP battle with Matthew Stafford after guiding the New England Patriots to the No. 2 seed. They could be on a collision course for an AFC Championship Game showdown, which would only highlight the overall talent of the class even more.
Which is exactly what Daniels did with his comments even though he won't be participating in the postseason this time around.
