NBA Bans Magic's Jalen Suggs From Wearing Headband Around Neck During Games
Jalen Suggs' fashion statement by wearing his headband around his neck during games has been squashed by the NBA.
During Friday's game between the Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls, sideline reporter Kendra Douglas said on the broadcast that Suggs revealed the league informed him "the headband needs to be on the head at tipoff" for games.

Suggs has been wearing his headband around his neck during warmups and early in games for most of this season, but he would eventually move it up to his head as the games got going.
When asked about it following a Magic practice session on Nov. 14, Suggs explained it "originates as football drip" and there's no deep meaning behind it.
The Magic will be hoping that the NBA's decree doesn't hinder Suggs' performance. He was averaging 15.4 points on 47.1 percent shooting, 4.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game in his 21 starts.
After suffering a hip contusion in Orlando's NBA Cup semifinal loss to the New York Knicks on Dec. 13, Suggs missed seven straight games. He returned to the lineup on Wednesday in a win over the Indiana Pacers.
Orlando lost to Chicago on Friday night in a game that Suggs left in the third quarter due to a knee injury.
If the Magic are going to reach their full potential this season, it will come with Suggs in their lineup.
There's no indication Suggs received extra powers from putting the headband around his neck, but the Magic are just 4-5 in nine games since he injured his hip and was subsequently told he had to wear the headband as it was intended.
