'This S--t Is Crazy!! 🤪' Dan Hurley Tweets 'Santa Claus Is Delivering' CBB Signings
Santa arrived early for multiple men's college basketball programs, and UConn head coach Dan Hurley noticed.
Hurley took to social media Wednesday and responded to multiple players joining the fold in college basketball in the middle of an ongoing season:

Woj Responds to Criticism of Bonnies Tenure
His comment came after Jonathan Givony of Draft Express reported Spanish wing Lucas Langarita, who played in the FIBA U20 Eurobasket, enrolled at Utah while James Nnaji, who was a 2023 NBA draft pick, enrolled at Baylor.
Givony called a former NBA draft pick becoming immediately eligible to play "a monumental development" for college basketball.
Joe Tipton of On 3 reported Nnaji will have four years of eligibility despite being selected in the 2023 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons. His rights were moved to Charlotte and then the New York Knicks, but he never signed a standard NBA contract.
Instead, he played professionally overseas, including for FC Barcelona in the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague.
Baylor needed more depth in the frontcourt with forward Maikcol Perez (knee) and center Juslin Bodo Bodo (arm) sidelined by injuries, so this is a timely addition for the 9-2 club.
As for Langarita, Brandon Judd of the Deseret News reported there was a clear connection with Utah since he previously played for assistant coach Martin Schiller for Casademont Zaragoza in Liga ACB during the 2022-23 campaign.
He also averaged 17.1 points per game in the U20 Eurobasket competition last summer and is someone who can stretch the floor. With Jacob Patrick missing the last two games because of injury and Elijah Moore exiting the program, this was also a well-timed addition.
Hurley seemed to have a rather good-natured response to the situation Wednesday, but fellow coaches such as Michigan State's Tom Izzo, Purdue's Matt Painter and Kansas' Bill Self were previously critical about former NBA G League players committing to play college basketball earlier this year.
At least Hurley doesn't have to worry about Nnaji and Langarita playing his team in the Big East since both Baylor and Utah are in the Big 12.
And he doesn't have much to complain about at this point of the 2025-26 campaign either, as the Huskies are 12-1 overall and 2-0 in Big East play following Sunday's victory over DePaul. They are No. 4 in the country and look to be one of the most realistic challengers for a national title come March.
