AJ Dybantsa Makes History with Amazing Stats, Full Highlights from BYU's Latest Win
BYU star AJ Bybantsa made college basketball history by becoming the youngest NCAA player to record a triple-double in a Monday night win over Eastern Washington.
Dybantsa posted 33 points on 11-for-13 shooting from the field while adding 10 rebounds and 10 assists in 36 minutes on the court.
His historic performance helped BYU win 109-81 and improve to 12-1 on the season.
Monday's win over Eastern Washington was part of what has been a historic December for the 18-year-old.
Dybantsa is the only player in NBA or DI history (minimum five games played) to record single-month stats of at least 25 points, five rebounds and five assists per game while staying undefeated and shooting at least 65 percent from the field, per Opta Stats.
He has averaged 27.8 points, eight rebounds and 5.7 assists per game while shooting 65.9 percent from the field during what has been a 6-0 December stretch for BYU.
After a holiday break, No. 10 BYU is set to return to action at Kansas State on Jan. 3.
Dybantsa will look to help his team continue climbing the rankings while continuing to boost his NBA draft stock in the New Year. He is currently projected as the No. 2 pick behind Kansas star Darryn Peterson in the latest 2026 mock from Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman.
