Doug Gottlieb Throws Chair on Video After CBB Loss, Says GB 'Played Like Idiots'

Green Bay head coach Doug Gottlieb had a Bob Knight moment in the aftermath of his team's 80-78 loss to Robert Morris on Thursday.

Gottlieb was seen throwing a chair against a wall as he walking to the locker room at Resch Center after the defeat.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Gottlieb said his team "played like idiots at the end of the game."

Robert Morris trailed by 11 with just under four minutes remaining in the second half. Nikolaos Chitikoudis' layup with 2.4 seconds left to play put the Colonials on top.

Justin Allen's three-point attempt as time expired didn't fall. The loss snapped Green Bay's three-game winning streak.

Gottlieb is 8-34 overall with the Phoenix since being hired as head coach in May 2024.
