Boozer led the way for the Blue Devils, finishing with a game-high 29 points on 10-of-21 shooting. He also pulled down six rebounds while picking up two assists and one steal.
Fans and pundits praised Boozer's performance.
The first half was competitive, as both teams were tied 19-19 with just under eight minutes remaining until halftime.
Florida eventually started to struggle from behind the arc against the Blue Devils' No. 1 scoring defense in the ACC, helping Duke close the first half on a 17-5 run.
Head coach Jon Scheyer's squad led by as many as 14 points early in the second half, but the Gators started to string together defensive stops and eventually took a late two-point lead after sophomore guard Boogie Fland connected on his second triple of the night.
Evans' ensuing three-pointer ultimately prevented Florida from capping off the comeback with a victory, though.
Duke improved to 9-0 with the win, while the Gators fell to 5-3.
