
Ethan Dietz Dies After Suffering Injury During Junior College MBB Game
Connors State College forward Ethan Dietz died as the result of an unspecified injury he suffered in a loss to Grayson College last Saturday.
"The Cowboy family has suffered an unimaginable loss," the school said on Facebook. "As you know, sophomore Ethan Dietz was injured during a men's basketball game on Saturday. He passed away this morning, November 25. Ethan exemplified what it means to be a Cowboy, to value hard work and being part of a team. While the team and the Cowboy community are processing our own grief, our hearts go out to his family and friends."
Connors State also announced it canceled its men's and women's basketball games through Dec. 1.

Connors State spokesperson Shannon Rigsby said Dietz's death may have been caused by a head injury, and the school plans to rewatch the game to get more insight, per NBC News' David K. Li.
Dietz started eight games for Connors State this season, averaging 11.0 points an 9.4 rebounds per contest.
