Josh Allen Reacts to Viral Heated Sideline Exchange, Injury and Bills' Loss to Texans
With two losses in their last three games, including a 23-19 defeat against the Houston Texans on Thursday night, frustration is mounting for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
Allen spoke after the game about a sideline exchange seen on the Amazon broadcast in which he appeared to be saying, "What are we doing?" when James Cook II was stopped on a fourth-and-1 play from Houston's 23-yard line early in the fourth quarter.
"Just frustration on my part," Allen told reporters. "In a situation like that, probably should have just banged a timeout. Just getting ... we got the play in late. Didn't give ourselves a chance there."

Allen, who was sacked eight times and briefly appeared to be injured on a hit late in the first quarter, said his shoulder "went a little numb on me" when he was tackled by Will Anderson Jr.
"We're good," Allen said after the game about the situation. He did praise Houston's effort in getting the win, while acknowledging the Bills' shortcomings throughout the game.
"They wanted it today," said Allen. "We had a chance to win there at the end and got to find a way."
Allen finished the game 24-of-34 for 253 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. The eight sacks he took were a career-high and marked the first time since Week 1 of the 2023 season that he was sacked more than four times in a game.
Even though Allen was able to play every snap after the hit from Anderson, ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg pointed out he was seen shaking out his right hand in the postgame locker room.
The Bills have committed multiple turnovers in five of their last seven games, including three in each of the last three weeks. Their nine giveaways since Week 10 is one more than they had in 20 games last year between the regular season and playoffs.
Since a 4-0 start this season, the Bills have lost four of their last seven games. They have fallen two games behind the New England Patriots for first place in the AFC East.
New England already holds a head-to-head win over the Bills in Week 5. Those two teams will meet again at Gillette Stadium on Dec. 14.
The Bills currently own the No. 6 seed in the AFC. They are one of four teams in the conference with four losses going into the full slate of Week 12 games on Sunday.
One potential reason for optimism is the last time the Bills endured a rough patch like they are currently going through was in 2023. They were 6-6 after Week 12 before rattling off five straight victories to end the regular season and win the AFC East.
Allen and the Bills will get a few extra days of rest and recovery before taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium on Nov. 30.
