Will Cowboys Re-Sign George Pickens? WR Addresses Contract Options for Free Agency
Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens discussed his upcoming free agency on Thursday.
"I'd love to be back," Pickens said, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. "Especially with (CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott), all the guys really."
He also weighed in on potentially signing the franchise tag.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"I'd probably have to wait until that comes," Pickens said, per Machota. "I can't really see into the future."
The 24-year-old is currently playing on the final season of his rookie deal and is set to become a free agent in 2026.
The Cowboys could hand Pickens a new long-term deal, or they could choose to franchise tag him for the 2026 season with a projected salary of just over $28 million (via Tommy Yarrish of the team's official website).
He's currently in the midst of a breakout 2025 campaign in Dallas after the team acquired him as part of a May trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Pickens ranks No. 2 in the NFL with 908 receiving yards, hauling in 58 receptions on 83 targets. He's also found the end zone seven times in 2025 after scoring eight touchdowns throughout his prior two seasons combined.
Pickens has particularly excelled as of late, racking up 551 yards over his past five games.
Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb has been impressed with his teammate's fit in Dallas' starting offense.
"I feel like he's comfortable here," Lamb said Thursday, per Machota. "He's happy here. He has a home here and he feels like he's accepted. I feel like we did a great job, welcoming him with open arms, and everything he did in Pittsburgh, bringing that here.
"We're going to figure out everything else and how we have to grow as men and as a football player off the field, but other than that, come be you. I feel like, with that, it was very easy for him. He understood that we weren't trying to change him. We wanted him to come over here and do that, and that he's doing. He's actually exceeded that. Shoutout to GP."
The Cowboys have already made multiple hefty financial commitments to their offense, handing Lamb a four-year extension worth $136 million in Aug. 2024 before signing Dak Prescott to a four-year, $240 million deal one month later.
Dallas hasn't always been able to work out long-term contracts with its stars, sending Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in a blockbuster Aug. 28 swap after both sides failed to find common ground on an extension.
If Pickens is able to stay on his current trajectory to close out the 2025 season, the value of his next contract will continue to increase.
