49ers' Raheem Morris Lost 50th Birthday While Traveling to Australia for Rams Game

San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Raheem Morris had a subdued 50th birthday thanks to the team opening the 2026 NFL season in Australia.

Morris turned 50 on Sept. 3.

ESPN's Adam Schefter pointed out the Niners began their trip to Melbourne a day earlier. By crossing the international date line, they basically bypassed Morris' birthday entirely.

San Francisco presumably did something for the veteran coach once everyone got settled in, or something might be planned once the team is back stateside.

For now, Morris would probably be happy to swap his birthday for a Week 1 win.
