Are Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro Close to Returning from Injury? Heat HC Talks Timeline
The Miami Heat have been missing two of their biggest stars in guard Tyler Herro and center Bam Adebayo, and it sounds like there's still some uncertainty over their eventual returns.
Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters that while Herro and Adebayo were able to participate in practice on Sunday, there's still "no timeline" for their respective returns to the court.
Spoelstra added that there was a "boost" in Sunday's practice by having both Adebayo and Herro back on the court, but it's still unclear when either of them will be back for game action.

Herro underwent surgery on his left ankle in September and has yet to play this season. He was coming off the best year of his young career, as he played 77 games in 2024-25 and averaged career highs of 23.9 points and 5.5 assists on his way to earning his first career All-Star selection.
Adebayo played in eight games for Miami this year before suffering a toe injury. He was averaging 19.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists, though his efficiency was down, as he shot a career-worst 45.2 percent from the field.
The Heat have been a middling team in the midst of the injuries to their key players, starting the year with a 7-6 record. Still, there's optimism that Miami could be a playoff contender in the wide-open Eastern Conference when fully healthy.
Until Herro and Adebayo return, veteran swingman Norman Powell will continue to lead the way for the Heat, as he's averaging a career-high 26.1 points in his first year in Miami.
The Heat will be looking to snap a two-game skid when they return to action on Monday against the New York Knicks (8-4).
