Post Malone, Jack White to Perform Thanksgiving Halftime Show for Cowboys, Lions Games
The NFL's Thanksgiving headliners will include more than just the football players.
On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys announced Post Malone will perform at halftime of their Thanksgiving game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Detroit Lions also announced that Jack White will perform at halftime of their Thanksgiving game against the Green Bay Packers:
Performing a halftime show at a Cowboys game is a full-circle moment for Post Malone.
"I'm from Texas. I grew up a Cowboys fan and have been watching this halftime show for years," he said. "It's a real honor to be part of the Red Kettle Kickoff with The Salvation Army and the Dallas Cowboys and help bring hope to so many people."
His show will surely include his unique blend of country, rock and hip-hop, which has earned him 18 Grammy Award nominations.
As for White, that he is performing at the Detroit game was revealed shortly after the Lions announced they were teaming with Eminem and the rapper's longtime manager, Paul Rosenberg, in a partnership that made them the executive producers of their Thanksgiving halftime show.
While some may have assumed that meant a hip-hop angle for the show, White is from Detroit and a musical icon in the city.
He is a 12-time Grammy Award winner, and his band, The White Stripes, was just inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame on Nov. 8.
