Eminem to Be Executive Producer of Lions' Thanksgiving Halftime Show for Packers Game
The Detroit Lions will have one of their most famous super-fans on hand for their Thanksgiving Day showdown against the Green Bay Packers.
The Lions announced on Thursday that legendary rapper Eminem and his longtime manager, Paul Rosenberg, will serve as the executive producers of their halftime show for their Thanksgiving Day game.
According to a release, the Lions formed a multi-year partnership with Eminem and Rosenberg to collaborate on their Thanksgiving Halftime Show powered by Verizon. The Detroit natives "will consult the club on talent selection and all aspects of halftime production through 2027."
"It's an honor for us to team up with the Lions and be a part of the greatest tradition in Detroit sports," said Rosenberg, who is also the president of Shady Records. "We look forward to putting together unforgettable shows featuring world-class artists for the fans at Ford Field and the tens of millions watching around the country."
Eminem has long been a passionate supporter of Detroit sports teams. He endured the Lions' struggles for years before they turned things around and achieved success under head coach Dan Campbell. He's frequently been seen at their home games, and he was in attendance for their NFC Championship Game appearance on the road against the San Francisco 49ers during the 2023 season.
The Lions improved to 6-3 this season with a dominant 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders in Week 10. Detroit will face a tougher test this week when it meets the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) on Sunday Night Football.
