Jeremiyah Love Landing Spots, NFL Draft Insiders Name Giants, Jets and More Best Fits
There is often a star running back who inspires debates about how early in the NFL draft someone from the position should go, and it seems like Notre Dame's Jeremiyah Love will be that playmaker for the 2026 edition.
NFL draft insiders Dane Brugler and Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic discussed Love on Sunday with Brugler pointing out he is "one of the 10 best prospects in the class."
He also noted his landing spot "depends on the situation" since "some teams aren't on the roster timeline that would support drafting a running back over other glaring needs."

Still, Brugler named the New York Giants ("an exciting fit"), Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans as potential landing spots, while Baumgardner highlighted the Cardinals, Tennessee Titans and New York Jets ("depending on their offseason").
Baumgardner also pointed to the Washington Commanders, Texans, Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears as teams that "should be on the list of possibilities," underscoring just how many clubs would benefit from having Love on their roster.
Love has already run for 1,135 yards and 14 touchdowns to go with 26 catches for 274 yards and three touchdowns as a receiver this season. His presence is a major reason Notre Dame is firmly in the College Football Playoff picture heading into the stretch run.
B/R's NFL Scouting Department projected Love as the No. 24 overall pick to the Dallas Cowboys in its mock draft this month. Dallas has a long history of star running backs such as Emmitt Smith and Ezekiel Elliott, and the Notre Dame product could be next in line while sharing the backfield with Dak Prescott.
One look at the scouting report from B/R's Damian Parson also underscores Love's overall potential, as he is listed as the top running back with a player grade of 8.5 (impact playerâfirst round).
Bijan Robinson and Ashton Jeanty had comparable grades, while the pro comparison in the report was Detroit Lions star Jahmyr Gibbs.
Living up to those comparisons will be easier said than done, but it also hints at how much potential Love brings as a running back with an impressive combination of speed and power who can explode for big plays and run through arm tackles in short-yardage situations.
It seems like he will be on the radar of plenty of NFL teams at this point.
