
No. 1 CBB Prospect Tyran Stokes Reportedly Enrolls at Rainier Beach HS in Seattle
Top college basketball prospect Tyran Stokes enrolled at Rainier Beach High School in Seattle on Thursday after he withdrew from Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks in Los Angeles.
Stokes is a 5-star forward prospect who's listed as the No. 1 player in the country as part of the 2026 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings.

He's received offers from several schools but cut his list down to Kentucky, Kansas and Oregon on Nov. 1.
ESPN's Jeff Borzello and Paul Biancardi reported that there were some initial rumors about Stokes leaving Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks early to enroll in a college at the semester break, but that talk has "faded" lately.
While he appears to be focused on finishing his senior year in high school, Borzello and Biancardi noted that Kentucky has been the "perceived favorite down the stretch of his recruitment."
For now, Stokes will be at Rainier Beach while he makes his college decision.
He's coming off an encouraging performance in the FIBA U19 World Cup, using his 6'7" frame to drive to the rim and finish around defenders. Stokes averaged 9.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in just 14.7 minutes per game for Team USA, shooting 70.6 percent from the field.
