Why Bryce James Didn't Play vs. NAU, When Could LeBron's Son Make Arizona Debut?
Bryce James, the youngest son of LeBron James, is still waiting for his first appearance with the University of Arizona men's basketball team as No. 5 Arizona rolled past Northern Arizona University 84–49 at home on Tuesday.
The win improved Arizona to 3–0 on the season, with all three wins coming in Tucson.
The freshman guard, rated a consensus three-star recruit by 247Sports' composite rankings, has yet to take the court in Arizona's first three games, still striving to carve out a role in the Wildcats' rotation.

Although it was anticipated that James would sit out Arizona's season opener against defending champion Florida, fans were surprised he remained off the court during the 93–67 blowout over Utah Tech, where 12 players saw action, and again in Tuesday's lopsided win over in-state rival NAU, in which 14 players logged minutes.
Despite Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd telling reporters before the season that redshirting James was a "possibility," James expressed his eagerness to play during a Monday appearance on Sneaker Shopping with Complex's Joe La Puma.
"(I'm) definitely excited because I know here in Tucson you know the crowds really like to get active, get into the games, you know I'm really gonna be excited," James told La Puma (8:40 mark).
With Arizona scheduled to host No. 15 UCLA on Friday and travel to No. 3 UConn on Wednesday, Nov. 19, Bryce James is unlikely to see playing time anytime soon.
Arizona will face the Denver Pioneers on Nov. 24, a team with losses to Seattle University and Washington and a narrow two-point win over Montana State, giving James a possible opportunity for minutes at home.
