Why Isn't A.J. Brown a Patriot Yet? 🤔

B/R Experts Week 11 NFL Power Rankings

B/R NFL StaffNov 10, 2025

The NFL is never short on surprises. But even by its own standards, Week 10 was a strange one.

In New York, the Jets had 42 passing yards against the Cleveland Browns—and won the game. A New Orleans Saints team that looked like, arguably, the worst squad in the league went into Carolina and spoiled the Panthers' short stay above .500. And the Miami Dolphins brought the Buffalo Bills to heel.

Not everything was ridiculous, though. As the Baltimore Ravens keep getting healthier, they look more like the contender we expected before the season. The New England Patriots and Denver Broncos continued their long winning streaks with hard-fought victories. And the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams continued rolling toward a SoFi Stadium showdown that will be one of Week 11's biggest matchups.

As the dust settles after yet another week of NFL action, Bleacher Report NFL analysts Gary DavenportKris KnoxMaurice Moton and Brent Sobleski are here to again make sense of it all by slotting the league's teams from No. 32 to No. 1.

32. Tennessee Titans (1-8)

1 of 32
Chargers Titans Football
Titans QB Cam Ward

Last Week: 32

Week 10 Result: Bye

There isn't anything new to say about the Tennessee Titans, who spent Week 10 on bye. They have a rookie quarterback with an underwhelming supporting cast, and they've already fired their head coach.

Aside from Cam Ward, Jeffery Simmons and a couple of other potential building blocks, everything should be under evaluation over the second half of the season.

Tennessee is looking to next year and beyond, as evidenced by its deadline trades of Roger McCreary and Dre'Mont Jones. There's nothing wrong with that, but it means fans can't expect the Titans to come out of the bye racking up wins. -- Knox

31. Cleveland Browns (2-7)

2 of 32
APTOPIX Browns Jets Football
Browns EDGE Myles Garrett

Last Week: 28

Week 10 Result: Lost vs. New York Jets 27-20

This year's Browns are a disaster. Cleveland traveled to face the New York Jets and lost a contest where its defense surrendered 167 total yards, including 42 in the passing game.

How is that even possible? Well, the Browns allowed kick and punt return touchdowns. Jets running back Breece Hall also generated 125 yards from scrimmage.  Otherwise, quarterback continues to be a problem, as it has been for the last 26 years.

Dillon Gabriel limits Kevin Stefanski's offense. The third-round rookie doesn't have the arm talent to threaten a defense at every level. For some unknown reason, Stefanski and his staff aren't willing to play Cleveland's other rookie, Shedeur Sanders.

This group doesn't have anyone to blame but itself for yet another lost season. -- Sobleski

30. New York Jets (2-7)

3 of 32
Browns Jets Football
Jets RB Breece Hall

Last Week: 29

Week 10 Result: Won 27-20 vs. Cleveland

The New York Jets are going through an odd season. They lost their first seven games. Then, without wideout Garrett Wilson or cornerback Sauce Gardner, they won their first game of the campaign on the road in Cincinnati.

General manager Darren Mougey traded Gardner and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams before the November 4 deadline. The Jets benched linebacker Quincy Williams, who was an All-Pro two years ago.

Everything about the Jets suggests a squad punting on the current season while planning for the future, yet they've won back-to-back contests. They're a bottom-tier team that's competitive in most of its games despite subpar quarterback play. -- Moton

Week 10 Result: Won vs. Carolina 17-7

At the end of the day, Sunday's win in Carolina doesn't change much in New Orleans.

The Saints are still a bad team that will likely be looking for a long-term quarterback in next year's draft. But while addressing the media, rookie signal-caller Tyler Shough said it still felt good to win.

"It was a great feeling in the locker room I think, with everybody just kind of dancing, you're having fun in there, but it just kind of came down to just playing complimentary football and we played together," he said.

The 26-year-old was sharp in Week 10, becoming the first Saints rookie to win a start under center since Dave Wilson in 1981.

New Orleans will get to enjoy its off week, but this remains a cellar-dweller headed for a full rebuild—and Shough's professional future is probably as a backup. -- Davenport

28. Las Vegas Raiders (2-7)

5 of 32
Jaguars Raiders Football
Raiders TE Brock Bowers

Last Week: 27

Week 10 Result: Lost at Denver 10-7

You can count on the Raiders to find a new way to lose each and every week.

In Week 9. Vegas played maybe its best game of the year offensively, but the defense couldn't get stops in an overtime loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. In Week 10, the defense showed up in Denver, but the offense was apparently still at the Bellagio.

The addition of Geno Smith has been another waste of time under center. He failed to throw for 150 yards and was dropped six times Thursday. Offensive coordinator Chip Kelly's scheme has been as predictable as it has unproductive.

It's another lost year for a lost franchise being led by the NFL's oldest head coach. The Raiders need torn down to the studs and rebuilt from the ground up—and Pete Carroll may not be the best man for that sort of multi-year effort. -- Davenport

27. Miami Dolphins (3-7)

When you think the Dolphins have given up on head coach Mike McDaniel, they keep fighting in competitive contests.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, McDaniel's position is safe for the remainder of the season. The players could help him keep his job beyond 2025 if they continue to play at a high level in the second half of the campaign. -- Moton

26. New York Giants (2-8)

7 of 32
Giants Bears Football
Giants QB Jaxson Dart

Last Week: 26

Week 10 Result: Lost vs. Chicago 24-20

The New York Giants were inactive at the trade deadline, which fell in line with their clear plan to play for the future. And fans can feel very good about that future, even with their team's 2-8 record.

The Giants have young players such as Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers, Abdul Carter and Cam Skattebo, who can form a strong core once all are healthy.

Unfortunately, the present is likely to be a bit painful. The defense, overall, isn't good. Nabers and Skattebo are both out for the season, and Dart left Sunday's loss with a concussion.

Protecting Dart—at times, from himself—should be priority No. 1 for the remainder of this season.

That priority will belong to interim head coach Mike Kafka, after Brian Daboll was fired by the Giants Monday. -- Knox

25. Cincinnati Bengals (3-6)

8 of 32
Bears Bengals Football
Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase

Last Week: 25

Week 10 Result: Bye Week

The Bengals suffered back-to-back, soul-crushing losses prior to entering their bye week. Complaints about the NFL's worst defense became public upon losing a second straight game when all Cincinnati needed was one stop at a critical juncture.

As Jay Morrison of Bengals Talk noted, Cincinnati owns the league's worst defense in points per drive since the NFL began tracking that particular data set.

Despite those issues, the Bengals didn't make any moves at the trade deadline to improve the situation. Instead, they'll eventually get Trey Hendrickson back. He'll help but not enough to fix a broken unit. -- Sobleski

Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett

Last Week: 23

Week 10 Result: Lost vs. Seattle 44-22

Sunday's outcome is one of those where the Cardinals need to burn the tape and forget about what happened. In a week-to-week league, they went from defeating the Dallas Cowboys to getting blown out by the Seahawks.

Considering Sunday's contest was over by halftime, the Cardinals must put it behind them and start fresh.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett has impressed during the last three contests, but two fumbles resulted in two Seattle defensive scores. It happened. It's unlikely to happen again. -- Sobleski

Week 10 Result: Lost vs. Detroit 44-22

It's officially time for the Washington Commanders to write off 2025 as a lost season. They're 3-7, they've been decimated by injuries, and the foundations are starting to crack.

Da'Ron Payne was ejected for throwing a punch on Sunday in a game that saw Washington commit eight penalties and surrender nearly 550 yards.

Dan Quinn must find a way to keep the locker room together for the remainder of this season. If the Commanders can bolster their porous defense and get Jayden Daniels back to 100 percent health, they'll have a chance to rebound in 2026. -- Knox

The Dallas Cowboys suffered a disappointing loss in Week 9 but spent their Week 10 bye feeling like winners.

Their trades for Quinnen Williams and Logan Wilson won't make the Cowboys contenders this season, but they were solid moves that can help in the long term.

Both players are under contract through 2027.

The Cowboys are building for next season, even if owner Jerry Jones will never present that plan publicly. Expect Dallas to play well enough to stay relevant but not well enough to be a threat in a loaded NFC. -- Knox

21. Carolina Panthers (5-5)

Saints Panthers Football
Panthers QB Bryce Young

Last Week: 18

Week 10 Result: Lost vs. New Orleans 17-7

The Carolina Panthers entered Week 10 as the most surprising team in the league with a winning record.

With the one-win Saints coming to town, this was the week the Panthers were going to make a statement and show they are a legitimate threat in the NFC South.

Instead, they looked like the tomato can of recent years. And the reason why is one that's becoming very uncomfortable in Charlotte: Bryce Young ain't the guy.

The quarterback threw for just 124 yards with an interception in Sunday's loss. It was the third straight game in which he failed to hit 150 passing yards, and the third-year pro has one 200-yard passing game all season.

Passing on Young's fifth-year option in 2026 isn't going to be a great look for Carolina after what the team gave up to move up to draft him.

However, with each passing performance he puts up, that decision becomes easier to make. -- Davenport

Week 10 Result: Lost vs. Indianapolis 31-25 (OT)

Sunday's overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts was it for the Atlanta Falcons. The lights have been turned out, and they are again what they have been for so many years: an also-ran in the NFC South.

Offensively, the Falcons played their game—they had one more rushing attempt than pass in the loss. But Atlanta quarterback Michael Penix Jr. completed just 12 of his 28 attempts Sunday in Berlin.

The defense was shredded by Colts running back Jonathan Taylor to the tune of 286 total yards and three scores, and the Falcons have now dropped four straight since stunning the Buffalo Bills in Week 6.

That's the only win the Falcons possess over a team with a winning record this year. The schedule is much more manageable over the next few weeks, but the only noise in Atlanta once the playoffs roll around will be from television sets. -- Davenport

Week 10 Result: Won vs. Jaguars 36-29

The Houston Texans may not be able to climb back into the AFC South race, but they can't be counted out of the wild-card hunt just yet.

Sunday's sensational comeback against the Jacksonville Jaguars—with Davis Mills in at quarterback for C.J. Stroud—showed they still have plenty of fight in them.

Houston is still trying to find an offensive identity, but it has a championship-caliber defense, has won four of its last six and has a chance to get to .500 next week against the lowly Titans. -- Knox

Last week, Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy took a step forward, throwing for two touchdowns and rushing for one in a win over the Detroit Lions. In Week 10, he struggled, throwing for a touchdown and two interceptions.

The Vikings are going through the growing pains with their second-year signal-caller, who will see ups and downs in his first year as a starter.

Minnesota is a mediocre squad that may not finish above .500 in a tough division with rivals that have winning records. -- Moton

17. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-4)

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence

Last Week: 16

Week 10 Result: Lost vs. Houston 36-29

It wouldn't be quite fair to call the Jacksonville Jaguars' hot start to the 2025 season fraudulent. They have played a tough schedule, dealt with injuries at receiver and are still sitting above .500.

However, the Jaguars have been beaten fairly convincingly in three of their last four games—with an overtime win over the Raiders their only victory since early October—and significant issues have emerged.

Opposing defenses seem to be catching up to Liam Coen's scheme, and Trevor Lawrence hasn't shown the growth most expected to see under the new head coach. Jacksonville's secondary remains a liability too.

After blowing a 19-point second-half lead to the Texans, the Jags need to find answers quickly if they hope to stay in the playoff picture. -- Knox

Week 10 Result: Lost vs. Los Angeles Chargers 25-10

Pittsburgh got up for the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9 and played like the old Steelers. A week later, they didn't look anything like a squad currently leading the division.

That division lead has dwindled to one game, with the Baltimore Ravens in the midst of a three-game winning streak.

The Steelers' issues at wide receiver have become abundantly clear. The Chargers bracketed DK Metcalf. Pittsburgh's WR1 caught three passes for 35 yards. Otherwise, Roman Wilson and Calvin Austin III combined to snag four passes for 49 yards.

Mike Tomlin's squad desperately needs another threat working on the outside, because the Chargers' blueprint will become standard for each upcoming opponent. -- Sobleski

Week 10 Result: Lost vs. Los Angeles Rams 42-26

The 49ers are perfectly mediocre, at least through their last seven games. San Francisco has rotated between wins and losses during that stretch, without losing or winning two straight.

Kyle Shanahan and Co. understood difficulties laid ahead after losing defensive difference-makers Nick Bosa and Fred Warner to season-ending injuries. To offset those losses, defensive coordinator Robert Saleh became more aggressive with his play-calling.

The Los Angeles Rams' Matthew Stafford torched the Niners defense whenever it brought pressure. Not every opponent will feature a quarterback anywhere near his level, but San Francisco must be wary of its limitations. -- Sobleski

Week 10 Result: Win vs. Minnesota 27-19

The expected midseason surge from the Ravens is now in full swing.

Lamar Jackson's return to the lineup coupled with a favorable schedule allowed Baltimore to win the last two. The Ravens have built a three-game winning streak since their bye.

The Cleveland Browns, New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals are next on the docket, and those three squads own a combined 7-20 record.

With the Pittsburgh Steelers' loss during Sunday Night Football, the Ravens are now only one game behind for the AFC North lead.

Considering Baltimore's upcoming schedule, it could overtake Pittsburgh before the two teams meet in Week 14. -- Sobleski

The Bears are growing into their new identity under head coach Ben Johnson.

They field a balanced offensive attack led by dynamic quarterback Caleb Williams. The defense feasts on turnovers. They had a league-high 19 takeaways entering Week 10.

Chicago has a young core of offensive playmakers around a second-year quarterback who will continue to develop under Johnson. If the defense continues to take the ball away at a high rate, the Bears could be playoff-bound. -- Moton

Week 10 Result: Lost 10-7 vs. Philadelphia

The Green Bay Packers had a defensive battle with the Philadelphia Eagles, but they should be concerned with an offense that's scored 20 points in two weeks.

After his impressive Week 8 outing against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jordan Love hasn't thrown a touchdown pass in two losses, and the Packers ranked 20th in rushing yards per game ahead of their Monday night matchup with the Eagles.

Tight end Tucker Kraft will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL, and Matthew Golden is dealing with a shoulder injury. The Packers must tweak their offense to feature healthy playmakers, or they will continue to drop in the standings and power rankings. -- Moton

Patriots Buccaneers Football
Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield

Last Week: 5

Week 10 Result: Lost vs. New England 28-23

Offensively at least, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers did many of the same things Sunday against the Patriots that propelled them to six wins over their first eight games.

Baker Mayfield was sharp as a passer. Rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka had another big game. The run game was efficient, even if it wasn't wildly productive.

However, the defense blinked against the Pats. Tampa struggled to pressure quarterback Drake Maye and gave up 10.5 yards per carry and two long touchdowns to running back TreVeyon Henderson. The Patriots had 435 yards of offense for the game.

The loss was the first in a brutal three-game stretch on the schedule for the Buccaneers, who now have to travel to first Buffalo and then Los Angeles to take on the red-hot Rams.

Tampa is in control of the NFC South. But if it wants to stay there (and remain in the legit Super Bowl contender conversation) it needs to figure out a way to win one of those games. -- Davenport

10. Los Angeles Chargers (7-3)

Week 10 Result: Won vs. Pittsburgh 25-10

The talk in Los Angeles this week centered mostly on the Chargers' issues up front. Joe Alt and fellow tackle Rashawn Slater have been felled by season-ending injuries.

Justin Herbert has been pressured as much as any quarterback in the NFL this year, and the Pittsburgh Steelers got home against the Bolts five times on Sunday night.

Thanks to an offensive game plan that featured a lot of quick passes, though, the running of Kimani Vidal and another stout defensive effort, the Chargers are 7-3 and just beat a first-place team with relative ease.

They have a pair of winnable games sandwiched around an off week up next—it's not hard to imagine this team being 9-3 and in the mix for the AFC's No. 1 seed when it hosts the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14. -- Davenport

Last Week: 10

Week 10 Result: Bye Week

That the Kansas City Chiefs are tied for the best Super Bowl odds at DraftKings despite being just 5-4 headed into their bye week speaks to the confidence so many have in Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City's ability to flip the switch and hit a new gear.

In Week 11, the Chiefs travel to Denver to face a Broncos team that Mahomes is 13-1 against over his career.

However, every time we believe these Chiefs are "back," they seemingly stub their toe, including a Week 9 loss to the Buffalo Bills where Mahomes had arguably the worst game of his career.

Certainly, the Chiefs can't be counted out—this is a team that has played in each of the last seven AFC Championship games. But they are also in something of an unprecedented situation with their backs against the wall.

It's going to be a fascinating second half in Kansas City. -- Davenport

Week 10 Result: Lost 30-13 vs. Miami

Following a win over the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills had a letdown in a road divisional matchup in Miami. They turned the ball over three times, all three in Dolphins territory.

To make matters worse for the Bills, tight end Dalton Kincaid exited early because of a hamstring injury. Rookie Landon Jackson left the game with a knee issue, which impacted depth on the edge with A.J. Epenesa in concussion protocol.

Trailing the New England Patriots in the AFC East, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next on the schedule, the Bills need to ramp up the urgency to compensate for injuries. -- Moton

7. Denver Broncos (8-2)

Week 10 Result: Won vs. Las Vegas 10-7

The good news for the Denver Broncos is that by virtue of their victory on Thursday night against the Las Vegas Raiders, they have won seven straight and sit alone atop the AFC West.

The bad news for the Broncos is that for the third time during that winning streak, the offense struggled. Quarterback Bo Nix threw for just 150 yards and tossed a pair of interceptions. The team averaged just 3.1 yards per carry on the ground. And Denver's 10 points were its lowest scoring output of the season.

To their credit, the Broncos found a way to win when the offense wasn't at its best. The Denver defense is as good as any in the NFL. But if this team is going to make a legitimate run at a Super Bowl berth, it needs more consistency on offense. -- Davenport

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell took matters into his own hands by assuming play-calling responsibilities. He may not permanently handle those duties, but the lead skipper should consider it after the team recorded its second-highest scoring output of the season with him on the headset.

Based on Campbell's play calls, he would like to feature Jahmyr Gibbs and Jameson Williams, who combined for 291 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders.

Sunday's win should give the Colts confidence for a couple of reasons. They head into their bye week knowing they can win when not everything is perfect. They also know last week's trade for Sauce Gardner is going to have a substantial and early impact.

According to Next Gen Stats (h/t Noah Compton of Stampede Blue), Falcons No. 1 receiver Drake London caught two of four targets for just 26 yards, plus a two-point conversion, while matched up with Gardner.

The offense was out of rhythm for most of Monday night, which is concerning since Philly averaged 33 points in its two games before the Week 9 bye. The Eagles also made a few questionable decisions late that could have cost them a win.
