Why Bryce James Didn't Play vs. Utah Tech, When Will LeBron's Son Play for Arizona?
The youngest son of LeBron James, Bryce James, has yet to make his collegiate debut for the University of Arizona men's basketball team as No. 13 Arizona cruised to a 93–67 win over Utah Tech at home on Friday.
The freshman guard, a consensus three-star recruit according to 247Sports' composite rankings, has not seen any playing time through the Wildcats' first two games of the season as he continues to work toward earning a spot in the rotation.
While it wasn't a surprise that James didn't see the floor in Monday's game against defending champion Florida, fans were taken aback when he was left out of the rotation against Utah Tech, as 12 other players saw minutes.

Head coach Tommy Lloyd has emphasized that Bryce's path will not be influenced by his father's legacy, saying he's committed to honoring James' wish to be treated like any other player despite being the son of one of basketball's greatest stars.
"I think his biggest desire is just to be a normal kid and fit in with a group," Lloyd said, per KGUN's Jason Barr. "So you know, my recommendation to all you guys and everybody's social media: let him. Let him fit in with this group, let him be a normal person, let him be a normal 18-, 19-year-old kid. You know, that's the greatest gift you can give him."
With the win, Arizona improved to 2–0, with both victories coming at home.
The Arizona Wildcats will look to carry that momentum into their next matchup against Northern Arizona University on Tuesday.
