Dodgers Celebrated at Lakers Game After Winning World Series in Photos, Videos
There was a championship trophy in attendance for Wednesday's game between the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena, and it wasn't the Larry O'Brien Trophy.
Instead, it was the Commissioner's Trophy with members of the World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
The fans in Los Angeles celebrated the Dodgers shortly after they won their second consecutive title with a dramatic seven-game victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. The group of players in attendance included Mookie Betts, Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell, who held up the trophy at midcourt during a break in the action:

It was more than just city love on display Wednesday.
Celebrating at a Lakers game was a fitting location considering Dodgers controlling owner Mark Walter was just unanimously approved as the new majority owner of the NBA team as well.
Such celebrations are nothing new in Los Angeles, as the Lakers are 17-time champions in the NBA. Their last title came during the 2019-20 campaign, and they aren't that far removed from winning back-to-back championships of their own in 2009 and 2010.
The Dodgers became the first team to win back-to-back World Series since the New York Yankees, who took home three consecutive titles from 1998 to 2000.
Los Angeles prevailed in one of the most memorable World Series in recent history that featured an 18-inning contest in Game 3 and the National League representatives winning the final two games on the road after falling behind 3-2.
Fittingly, Game 7 went to extra innings as well before Will Smith launched what proved to be the series-winning homer in the top of the 11th. World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto earned the win by pitching the final 2.2 innings after he pitched six innings the previous day in Game 6.
The Dodgers will surely be on the short list of World Series contenders again in 2026, and the Lakers will likely be happy to celebrate them again if there is a threepeat.
