Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry will miss Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat due to an ankle injury.

The two-time NBA MVP also noted he is still feeling "a little bit" of the symptoms from the illness that kept him out of action for three straight games from Nov. 5-9.
It's not surprising that Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is holding Curry out against the Heat given his ankle injury and illness, especially on the second night of a back-to-back as the team wraps up a six-game road trip.
Even with the ankle issue, Curry was terrific on Tuesday with 34 points on 12-of-23 shooting and nine assists in 34 minutes. He has scored at least 34 points in three of his last four games.
The future Hall of Famer is one of the best guards in NBA history with a resume that includes four championships, two league MVPs, two scoring titles, 11 All-NBA selections and 11 All-Star nods.
His presence on the floor makes everything easier for his teammates as well considering how far out opposing defenses have to extend to deal with his outside shooting.
Curry is averaging 27.9 points, 4.1 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from deep this season.
While the Warriors don't have anyone else on the roster who can replicate his impact, look for them to rely on the combination of Brandin Podziemski and Gary Payton II against Miami.
