Class of 2026 5-star small forward Tyran Stokes will have a new home for his high school senior year.

Per Jacob Polacheck of On3.com, Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, announced on Wednesday that Stokes has withdrawn from the school. 247Sports' composite ranks him as the No. 1 overall player in the nation.

"Notre Dame High School acknowledges Tyran Stokes' decision to withdraw and explore new opportunities," Notre Dame High School Athletic Director Alec Moss said in a statement. "We appreciate the contributions he made to our basketball program and community during his time here. We wish Tyran all the best as he pursues his future goals, and we are confident he will find success."

Tarek Fattal of Sports Illustrated reported that "many believe a national-level prep school is likely" for Stokes' next destination. He also briefly played football at Notre Dame High School, expressing interest in being a 5-star prospect in two sports.

Polacheck noted that Stokes is deciding between three finalists: Kentucky, Kansas and Oregon. The 6'7", 230-pound prospect reportedly has taken official visits to all three schools. He already agreed to an NIL deal with Nike ahead of his senior season in high school.

247Sports director of scouting Andrew Finkelstein described Stokes as "the most talented prospect in the national class and a unique match-up for opposing defenders." The youngster is "built like a forward" but also "can make plays like a guard with an ability to create off the dribble and an innate understanding of how to instinctively find a path to the rim, even when one doesn't seem to initially present itself."

It sounds like Stokes has a bright future in basketball, but he will now have to find his next destination as he looks to complete his high school career.
