Week 9 Waiver Wire Breakout Fantasy Football Pickups from Sunday's Box Scores
Injuries have a way of inflicting chaos on fantasy teams, leaving managers to scurry to the waiver wires and find replacement for their starters.
Such is the case this week as both the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns lost starting running backs.
In the wake of those losses and others, and managers immediately looking to replace those adversely affected, here are waiver wire breakout candidates worth picking up.

Tyrone Tracy Jr., RB, New York Giants

The unfortunate, devastating injury suffered by rookie running back Cam Skattebo Sunday against Philadelphia leaves Tyrone Tracy Jr. as the lead back in New York.
Tracy has not finished higher than 22nd in any given week this off-season but the need for a run game behind rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart will catapult Tracy into must-add territory.
He carried 10 times for 39 yards Sunday and caught two balls for 14 yards. While some may scoff at those numbers, his volume is going to pick up and he will be a contributor the Giants offensive efforts.
Grab him off of waivers now before it is too late.
Tracy is available in nearly 60 percent of leagues and squares off against a 49ers defense that is 13th-worst against opposing running backs and giving up 22.09 points to the position.
Malik Washington, WR, Miami Dolphins

Injuries to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle saw increased opportunity and volume for Washington, leading to a Week 8 game in Atlanta that saw him catch four balls for 36 yards and a touchdown.
He finished in the top 20 among receivers in fantasy in the early slate of games, scoring 13.6 points in PPR leagues.
Those numbers will not blow anyone away, but he possesses some game-breaking explosiveness and is a playmaker on an offense that is lacking it.
His numbers may be linked to the play of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa but if the Dolphins starter found his stride and can improve upon a blockbuster day against the Falcons Sunday (205 yards, four touchdowns), Washington's value enhances exponentially more than it already has.
He is available in 84.2-percent of leagues and faces a middle-of-the-pack Bills defense surrendering 15.86 points to opposing receivers.
Joe Flacco, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

If you are still sleeping on Joe Flacco, wake up!
The 40-year-old quarterback has been a top-15 finisher at the position in each of the last three weeks and has outscored Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, Lions quarterback Jared Goff, and Comeback Player of the Year candidate Daniel Jones in that span.
Having two of the best wide receivers in the league in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins does not hurt and Sunday against the New York Jets, he showed out again, completing 21-of-34 passes for 223 yards, two touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown.
Flacco, counted out after a sub-par start to the season for a bad Browns team, has rejuvenated his fantasy relevancy and should be considered not only for a bench spot but, as long as his play continues at this level, a role as starter for managers with under-performing signal callers.
The former Raven, Colt, Jet, and Brown is available in just over 50 percent of leagues. He faces a Chicago Bears team allowing 18.30 points to opposing quarterbacks, tenth-worst in the NFL.
