Giants' Kayvon Thibodeaux Rips 'Bulls--t' Call That Negated Eagles' Tush Push Fumble
New York Giants linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux was not a fan of a pivotal call in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
During a fourth-and-1 play during the second quarter, Thibodeaux appeared to strip the ball from Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts on Philadelphia's signature tush push play, but the officials ruled that Hurts' forward progress had stopped, thus negating the fumble.
"[The official] said they called the forward progress before he reached the ball out," Thibodeaux told reporters. "Sounds like some bulls--t to me."

While the forward progress call was not reviewable, Giants head coach Brian Daboll challenged the first down ruling, but lost. The Eagles took the lead a few moments later and never gave it back as they cruised to a 38-20 win over the team that upset them just two weeks ago.
While Thibodeaux didn't agree with the forward momentum call, he admitted that the Giants didn't do enough in the loss.
"That is the hard part about the tush push," Thibodeaux said. "Sorry, I mean, that was a great call by the refs. You can't blame missed calls on anything. I think we didn't stop the run. They made the 50-50 balls and they got the best of us."
New York had another big play negated by the officials when wide receiver Darius Slayton hauled in a 68-yard touchdown pass that was called back due to offensive pass interference in the fourth quarter.
Though frustrated, Slayton agreed that the Giants left points on the board.
"In my head I thought I had fought to get my arm through and catch the ball," Slayton said. "I guess somewhere in there I, yeah... That one was tough. The tush push fumble was a tough one. But at the end of the day, there were other plays out there to make. And we certainly could've executed better from our standpoint. But no doubt those type of plays hurt."
The Giants fell to 2-6 with the loss and are hoping to get back on track against the San Francisco 49ers next week.
