Tyreek Hill Says He's Undecided on Whether to Retire After NFL Season-Ending Injury
Tyreek Hill is weighing his options after suffering a season-ending injury last month.
The Miami Dolphins star receiver said he's undecided about whether to retire or continue playing.
"Right now, I'm happy with being with my kids," Hill said on "The Set" podcast (h/t Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post). "I'm happy with the career that I've had and I love playing football. I love it. But it, man, but it takes a lot, man, to be the best and to stay at the top... And I'm at the point now where I need to have a conversation with Mom, family, everybody. Like I said, wherever my mind is at the time, the decision to be made, but I just know right now I feel like I haven't had time to just live in the moment, and just be in the moment with my family."
Hill suffered a gruesome knee injury against the New York Jets on Sept. 29, dislocating his knee and tearing multiple ligaments, including his ACL. He had recorded 265 yards and a touchdown before his season ended.
Hill had the best season of his career in 2023, recording 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, but he had one of the worst years of his career last season. After suffering a very serious injury, it's fair to wonder whether Hill will be able to continue playing at a high level.
The Dolphins reportedly are expected to release him at the end of the season.
