Dolphins' Matthew Judon Reportedly Eyed by NFL Teams Amid Chubb, Phillips Trade Rumors
If the Miami Dolphins become sellers amidst a 1-6 start to the season, they have a number of interesting edge-rushers that could garner interest, including veteran Matthew Judon.
According to reporter Jordan Schultz, "teams around the league are keeping a close eye on [the Dolphins'] pass-rushers ahead of the trade deadline—including Bradley Chubb (no guaranteed money after this season), Jaelan Phillips (in the final year of his contract) and Judon (a surprise healthy inactive on Sunday)."
There has been plenty of buzz and speculation that the Dolphins could move on from a player like Judon or their other pass-rushing options:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Judon, 33, is a four-time Pro Bowler and had 58.5 sacks between the 2017-22 seasons. In 21 games between the 2023-24 seasons he had 9.5 sacks, a downturn in his production, and he hasn't registered a single sack and only one quarterback hit for the Dolphins across six games this year.
Granted, Phillips (two sacks, four quarterback hits) hasn't exactly popped off this season either. But he is seven years younger than Judon, which probably will make him more appealing to teams, especially if they would have interest in re-signing him after the season. That may also make the Dolphins more hesitant to move him if they believe they could re-sign him.
Chubb, 29, is easily the most productive of the three (four sacks, seven quarterback hits this season) and looks like a player capable of replicating his 2023 production (11 sacks) after his 2024 season was lost due to a torn ACL. Given his pedigree and the fact that there is no guaranteed money left on his deal, he is probably the player the Dolphins could easily get the most for in a trade, and at this point he likely would prefer to play on a contender.
The Dolphins are running out of time to turn this season around, and another loss or two should probably propel them into selling mode. A major rebuild is on the horizon for these Dolphins, and getting some future draft assets for their veteran pass-rushers would be a logical approach.
