NFL Trade Deadline 2025 Predictions Based on Latest Rumors
As the NFL nears its midway point and the pretenders have been separated from the contenders, teams will naturally check in on stars from under-performing teams and gauge whether they are available for trade.
Such is the case in 2025, with teams looking into pass rushers, wide receivers, and running backs who could improve their teams as a whole and elevate them into championship contention.
Ahead of the November 4 trade deadline, which teams are fielding calls and who are the players who may be sporting a new jersey sooner rather than later?
Find out with these predictions, based on latest insider rumors and reports.
Jets Fielding Calls on Breece Hall

The New York Jets are 0-7 and, understandably, are fielding calls for one of their most talented players.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that teams have called about running back Breece Hall ahead of the November 4 trade deadline.
Hall has been one of the most promising young tailbacks in the league since arriving in 2022 but the team's offense has failed him.
Through seven games in 2025, he has tallied 99 carries for 448 yards. He has added 19 receptions for 164 yards. He has been shut out of the end zone to this point in the season.
Despite his strongest start since that rookie season, which was cut short due to injury, Hall has not helped a Jets offense that, at times, has appeared inept. Finding a trade partner, who could benefit from an explosive back would help New York accumulate draft capital, though it would also be an admission to failure and a major rebuild moving forward.
The team has also received calls for defensive end Jermaine Johnson, a highly skilled rusher whom many teams would gladly have on their team.
In the case of Hall, a team that could benefit from an upgrade at the running back position, like the Cincinnati Bengals as they look to stay alive in the postseason conversation, would be a fit.
The Los Angeles Chargers, who have lost several starting backs, including Najee Harris and Omarion Hampton, would be another quality landing spot for him.
Prediction: Hall ends up in Los Angeles in return for a second or third-round pick
Miami Not Ready to Sell?

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media added that, "Several teams have called the Dolphins about star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, and sources say those teams have been told Miami has no interest in trading him."
He added, regarding the potential of pass rushers being dealt, "While things can change, it seems far more likely Miami would be willing to deal an edge rusher (perhaps Matt Judon, Bradley Chubb or even Jaelan Phillips)."
Russini also reported that the Miami Dolphins have received calls regarding Chubb and Phillips.
The Dolphins are 1-6 and enduring one of their worst seasons in recent memory. Still, the team does not appear ready or willing to punt on the season, giving up and selling off its assets.
Waddle has tallied 30 receptions for 405 yards and three touchdowns through the first seven weeks of the season. He achieved 1,000-plus yards in his first three seasons and 18 touchdowns. After a down season in 2024, he is hoping to have a bounce-back year in 2025 but has gone as the Dolphins' offseason has in this first-half of the season.
Chubb has tallied four sacks through seven games while Phillips as 11 combined tackles and two sacks.
Philadelphia and San Francisco, Russini noted, have been on the lookout for rushers and could be the hunt for either of the Dolphins' stars. With that said, trades are becoming less frequent during the season, so it is highly unlikely both men get dealt before the deadline.
Prediction: Phillips is on an expiring deal, so he would be the most likely to be traded
Cincinnati Not Moving Trey Hendrickson

Teams are calling Cincinnati about defensive end Trey Hendrickson but as Russini reported, the four-time Pro Bowler is not expected to be dealt.
She wrote, "Bengals All-Pro pass rusher Trey Hendrickson is drawing attention around the league, with the 49ers showing the most interest. Cincinnati isn't shopping him, and after the Bengals' Thursday night win, most do not expect him to get moved."
The Bengals worked to get the talented rusher under contract this off-season, agreeing to a one-year extension. While most teams would like to deal anyone on an expiring contract in order to get something in return for them before they potentially walk in free agency, the team still has playoff hopes.
If Joe Flacco can replicate his performance against Pittsburgh and keep the Bengals alive in the AFC North long enough for Joe Burrow to come back from his Grade 3 turf toe injury, the team can still compete as a Wild Card entry into the playoffs.
Trading Hendrickson would hurt the team's defensive efforts and limit how realistic a postseason push would be.
Prediction: Hendrickson stays put, despite impressive offers from other teams
