Biggest Sleepers at Every Position for Week 7 Fantasy Football 2025

Moe MotonOct 16, 2025

In Week 7, we're going to step into a time machine to find a fill-in replacement for quarterback Josh Allen, who's on a bye, though the future is now for sleeper options at tight end.

Believe it or not, your best quarterback option will be in a Thursday night division battle that features two signal-callers who are 40 or older. Both can still sling it and get you through a tough week of fantasy options, though one is a slightly better choice.

This week, it will be a challenge to find running back help, a notable wide receiver is finally set to return from injured reserve and a trio of young tight ends are the headliners.

Here's a pass-catcher-heavy slate of sleepers available in at least 50 percent of point-per-reception leagues, according to FantasyPros' roster consensus percentages. We also listed DraftKings' daily fantasy sports price for each player.

QB Aaron Rodgers at Cincinnati Bengals (22 Percent Rostered)

Steelers Football
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers

For veteran fantasy football managers, it's odd to see Aaron Rodgers on a list among sleeper targets, but he's a 41-year-old quarterback in an offense that ranks 30th in pass attempts through six weeks.

Yet he can make the most out of limited opportunities against the Cincinnati Bengals, who give up the second-most passing yards and allow the 11th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks.

Rodgers has thrown for at least two touchdowns in three out of his five outings with the Steelers. He may have to push the ball downfield for multiple scoring drives if Joe Flacco finds his rhythm with wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

On Thursday night, Rodgers could connect with wideout DK Metcalf for multiple scores and spread the ball among Pittsburgh's trio of tight ends, Jonnu Smith, Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington.

RB Tyjae Spears vs. New England Patriots (35 Percent Rostered)

Titans Raiders Football
Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears

The Tennessee Titans activated Tyjae Spears before their Week 5 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, though he made a notable impact last week against the Las Vegas Raiders.

He logged five carries for 31 yards and caught four passes for 19 yards in the Titans' loss to the Raiders. Although he's the No. 2 running back behind Tony Pollard, his pass-catching duties boost his value in PPR leagues.

Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley exited in the first half of the previous game because of a hamstring injury and could miss additional time, which may open up more targets for Spears.

Against the Patriots' fourth-ranked run defense, rookie quarterback Cam Ward may have to lean on the short passing game without his top receiver. Spears could have a significant role.

RB Kendre Miller at Chicago Bears (22 Percent Rostered)

Saints Football
New Orleans Saints running back Kendre Miller

Kendre Miller isn't going to take over the lead position in the New Orleans Saints backfield while Alvin Kamara is healthy, but he can still carve out a decent workload in a complementary role against a below-average run defense.

Entering Week 7, the Bears allow the second-most rushing yards per game, the second-most rushing yards per carry (5.7) and the sixth-most fantasy points to running backs.

Over the Saints' last four outings, Miller averaged nine rush attempts per contest, and Kamara is battling an ankle injury that limited him at practice last week. Against one of the league's worst run defenses, Miller may have an opportunity to rack up a significant number of yards and reach paydirt for a solid fantasy output.

Managers should stash Miller in case the one-win Saints shut down Kamara in a year when they could finish with one of the league's worst records.

WR Jalen Coker at New York Jets (14 Percent Rostered)

Browns Panthers Football
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker

Last week, the Carolina Panthers forced us to pull a switcheroo with a sleeper selection. They didn't activate wideout Jalen Coker from injured reserve, which left Xavier Legette as a less-than-ideal alternative receiver option.

So, let's try this again with Coker, who went through full practices last week and on Wednesday. Head coach Dave Canales told reporters that the plan is for the second-year wideout to play on Sunday.

While Panthers' lead receiver Tetairoa McMillan lines up across from Sauce Gardner, Coker could draw a decent matchup with cornerback Brandon Stephens while on the perimeter. The New York Jets' No. 2 cornerback has allowed a 142.2 passer rating and four touchdowns in coverage. Also, Gang Green is tied for seventh in passing touchdowns allowed with 12.

In 2024, Coker established a rapport with quarterback Bryce Young, hauling in 32 passes for 478 yards and two touchdowns. His big-play ability can spark the Panthers' aerial attack.

WR Tutu Atwell vs. Jacksonville Jaguars in London (2 Percent Rostered)

Colts Rams Football
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Tutu Atwell

Tutu Atwell missed the Los Angeles Rams' previous game because of a hamstring injury, but head coach Sean McVay expects him to be "ready to play" on Sunday in London.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, wide receiver Puka Nacua sprained his ankle, which "will likely cause him to miss time."

In Nacua's absence, second-year wideout Jordan Whittington draws some intrigue, but Atwell is in his fifth year with the Rams and knows McVay's offense.

Before Atwell missed time, he racked up 160 yards and scored a touchdown on just three catches between Weeks 4 and 5.

Managers looking for a sleeper with significant boom potential should consider Atwell if he's back from injury and Nacua sits out.

TE Harold Fannin Jr. vs. Miami Dolphins (41 Percent Rostered)

Vikings Browns Football
Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr.

Mason Taylor isn't the only rookie tight end with fantasy appeal in Week 7. Harold Fannin Jr. has also made early contributions in a pass-catching role, hauling in 28 passes for 254 yards and a touchdown.

It's also worth noting Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski didn't provide an update on veteran tight end David Njoku's status for the upcoming game.

If Njoku's knee injury sidelines him for Sunday's contest, Fannin could have a full breakout performance in a matchup with the Miami Dolphins, who allow the sixth-most fantasy points to tight ends.

Through six weeks, Njoku and Fannin formed arguably the league's best pass-catching tight end tandem. They're the Browns' top two pass-catchers in receptions.

Regardless of Njoku's status, Fannin is a strong play despite possible inclement weather in Cleveland this weekend. Rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel has targeted Fannin 14 times over the last two weeks.

TE Mason Taylor vs. Carolina Panthers (37 Percent Rostered)

7 of 8
Jets Football
New York Jets tight end Mason Taylor

Mason Taylor is a priority option for Week 7. He could post position-leading fantasy numbers in an expanded role against a defense that's one of the most vulnerable to pass-catching tight ends.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, New York Jets lead receiver Garrett Wilson will miss "a couple of weeks" with a hyperextended knee.

Entering Week 7, Taylor is second behind Wilson in targets (29), catches (21) and receiving yards (177) among Jets' pass-catchers. Already in a solid receiving role, he could see more passes from quarterback Justin Fields while the team's top wideout recovers from a knee injury.

In Week 6, Taylor only caught one pass for two yards, as Fields struggled mightily against the Denver Broncos defense, but he caught 14 passes for 132 yards between Weeks 4 and 5.

On Sunday, Gang Green will face the Carolina Panthers, who rank 17th in passing yards allowed and give up the second-most fantasy points to tight ends. Fields can bounce back from an abysmal performance last week in London, and Mason will likely be his top target in Wilson's absence.

TE Cade Otton at Detroit Lions (16 Percent Rostered)

Buccaneers Seahawks Football
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton

Instead of waiting to find out who's in and out of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' wide receiver rotations, pick up tight end Cade Otton, who's almost certain to see more targets in the short term.

The Buccaneers have a rash of injuries at wide receiver.

Mike Evans could make a return to action from a hamstring injury, but he's not a lock to suit up Monday night. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, rookie wideout Emeka Egbuka will miss "some" time with a hamstring injury. Head coach Todd Bowles has ruled out Chris Godwin, who is recovering from a fibula injury.

You can play receiver roulette with Tez Johnson, Kameron Johnson and Sterling Shepard, but it's anyone's guess who will draw the most targets among that trio.

As the Buccaneers' wideouts battled injuries, Otton has been active and productive in the passing game, hauling in nine out of 11 targets for 132 yards over the last two weeks.

The Detroit Lions may have multiple backup defensive backs in their secondary. Terrion Arnold and D.J. Reed have missed multiple games because of injuries. Kerby Joseph is nursing a balky knee. The league upheld its one-game suspension for Brian Branch following his altercation with Kansas City Chiefs wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster.

As a primary target in the Buccaneers' aerial attack, Otton has TE1 upside, going against the Lions' shorthanded secondary.
