Eagles Player Reportedly Compared Team's Current Struggles to 2023 Collapse
Philadelphia Eagles players are starting to feel the pressure mount amid the team's struggles so far this season, including their current two-game losing streak.
Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, one Eagles player said after last week's loss to the New York Giants that things are "starting to feel like the 2023 meltdown" again.
The player did note the hope is they can use their extra time off after playing on Thursday night in Week 6 to get back on track going into Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Everyone in Philadelphia remembers the 2023 season very well. It started out on a positive note with 10-1 record and a seemingly preternatural ability to win close games, with seven wins coming in games decided by one score.
This season had a very similar start with a 4-0 record and all four games decided by seven points or fewer, but even within those wins, the on-field performance was lacking.
Their single-game high in yardage during that undefeated start was 302 in Week 1 against a Dallas Cowboys defense that has allowed at least 378 yards in each of its next five games.
Offensive playmakers who helped carry the Eagles to the Super Bowl last season have struggled to get going. Saquon Barkley's 3.4 yards per carry is his fewest in a season that he played at least three games. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith have reportedly been frustrated with the offense.
Another echo from that 2023 season, though, is the collapse of the defense. The team from two years ago lost six of its final seven games (including the playoffs) because they allowed 30.6 points per game during that span.
The 2025 team isn't quite at that level yet, but they have allowed at least 25 points in three of their last four games. The one game they didn't give up 25 was in Week 5 when the Denver Broncos only scored 21, but 18 of them came in the fourth quarter to erase a 17-3 deficit.
Philadelphia currently ranks 19th in points allowed with the main issue being an inability to stop the run. They are 22nd in expected points allowed per rush. Some of this stems from the loss of talent in the offseason with Josh Sweat and Milton Williams leaving as free agents.
There's still plenty of time for the Eagles to get things back on track. They are currently in first place in the NFC East with no other team in the division over .500, but pressure is certainly mounting on them to put together a game that looks at least reminiscent of the group that won the Super Bowl last season.
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell has not yet revealed who will start at quarterback on Sunday, but if Carson Wentz gets the nod and beats his former team, the panic meter in Philadelphia will be off the charts.
