NFL Coach Praises Aaron Rodgers' Mobility to Bash Justin Fields' Historically-Bad Day
Pittsburgh Steelers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers turned back the clock with some nifty moves on one of his two touchdown passes in Sunday's 23-9 win over the Cleveland Browns.
The Athletic's Mike Sando spoke to an NFL coach who used the opportunity to praise Rodgers to simultaneously shade former Steelers quarterback Justin Fields, who is now with Rodgers' former New York Jets squad and put forth one of the worst passing performances in NFL history in Sunday's 13-11 loss to the Denver Broncos.
"Did you see the Rodgers TD on Sunday?" the coach from another team asked Sando. "Out of the pocket, on the run, directing receivers in the scramble drill, slicing his 500th-and-whatever touchdown pass, while the supposed-to-be mobile Justin Fields can't get away from Denver's rush. Nine sacks with minus-10 yards passing!"

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Rodgers threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns on 21-of-30 passing in Sunday's win, which helped the Steelers improve to 4-1.
Meanwhile, the Jets remain the league's only winless team at 0-6 after Fields threw for just 45 yards while sustaining nine sacks for 55 yards, ending with a franchise-worst -10 net passing yards.
The Steelers have been thriving with their 41-year-old quarterback under center. The AFC North is wide open thanks to injuries to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, so Rodgers has Pittsburgh in the driver's seat for a division title.
Rodgers and the Steelers will look to extend their win streak to four straight games when they meet the Bengals on Thursday Night Football to kick off Week 7.
